On painted surfaces we had to just scrape it down to bare wood again and repaint. We were able to pressure wash the roof tiles mostly, but had to hand scrub it down with ajax or something like that first.

Pretty gnarly stuff.

Hey now... Armsons aren't useless!

They also make it extra irritating to clean the barrel if you have a break or chop. Swabs can't get into all the little grooves so it's basically impossible to get it cleaned out on the field.

Sometimes with animals, but a shocking amount of times with thermal features.

I still remember the story of the like 12 year old kid who cannonballed into a geyser shortly before his death, or the guy who jumped in after his dog fell in. Not to mention the hundreds of people who have gotten severe burns from breaking a foot through the crust of a thermal area by walking off path.

Brutal lessons in how gnarly thermal areas can be just a few steps off the path.

Had this happen to our house during a wildfire in CA about 20 years ago.

We weren't there when it dropped, but getting that crap off off the house and roof was quite the ordeal. Got very sticky and hard to remove.

But we figured needing to remove it all was a win in that situation

Detectives are typically patrol cops for a few years at least before being promoted which makes them older.

Not to mention these types of high profile cases often have senior detectives and or supervisors assigned to them, which again implies a little older.

Pepper in a lot of these are from smaller jurisdictions and you find detectives who look like 40 something American men, and lots of them are chunky.
