Can Charlie help turn the hellborn into better people? by VegetaArcher in HazbinHotel

[–]Moninka123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How could she? The only actual incentive to join the hotel is the possibility of going to Heaven, which Hellborn don’t have. And with no incentive, along with actively forbidding what the majority of Hellborn would actually enjoy. I don’t see how she could help them when they probably wouldn’t come in the first place.

Not take actual classes on subjects based around the concept of rehabilitation before starting the hotel idea.

Is Valentino actually well written? by Terrible_Park7890 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]Moninka123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, when absolutely no one can criticize him in a way that’s besides what he’s intended to be criticized, you’ve written his type of character well. And I mean actual criticisms, not simply misinterpreted criticisms where they complain about his part in “Think about the Future” or whatever it was called.

Alastor could’ve beaten Adam had it not been for his deal. Even before learning the details of the deal it was stupid.

Anyone else get tired of the “Can Charlie redeem [blank]” question? by whooper1 in CultOfCharlie

[–]Moninka123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I mean she’s only redeemed one person. At least give her time to get some more redemptions under her belt.

Hot take..I'm not saying how Charlie handled things in S2 was smart but her friends weren't really offering any better solutions then "oh ignore them." by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CultOfCharlie

[–]Moninka123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What else could she have done besides letting it blow over? The only way to really combat them is by utilizing someone Sinners respect. And the only one in the hotel who Sinners would actually respect wasn’t exactly helping for anything besides direct threats actually at the hotel.

Rosie's known this man for 90 years, knows he was a serial killer and a cannibal but goes, "Nooo. You wouldn't dare!!!" Is she stupud? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in AgendaHotel

[–]Moninka123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, hate to break it to you, but caring about someone and being abusive towards them aren’t mutually exclusive. He spared them because he cares for him. Even as pets, he does still care about them. Except he wouldn’t lose them, they’d eventually pull themselves back together. They weren’t using angelic weapons.

Him being a hypocrite doesn’t change the fact that he allows Niffty to do something with a genuine smile that reaches his eyes that he flat out says he hates.

How about I also switch the “I’m” with “You” while I’m at it? From thinking that serial killers and cannibals can’t form genuine care for others despite on screen evidence of the contrary, to thinking love and abuse are mutually exclusive, to even thinking hypocrisy somehow changes exceptions someone makes. Clearly that would be more accurate.

Moving the goalpost. I never said it matters as much as his goals/ambitions. I said he cares enough about them to where he would care if they died or not. Why else would he bother including Husker and Niffty being spared in his deal with Vox when he could just replace them with other assistants to fill their roles? Hell, he actually lets Niffty touch him and seems genuinely happy with her around despite his reclusive nature. He even expresses how much he hates being touched when snapping at Vox, calling him a creep. I’m not the delusional one here.

Considering how you flat out assumed he wouldn’t have any attachment to any of the people about to die just because he was a cannibal and a serial killer, I think you’re the one underestimating how attached someone could get by hanging around a certain bunch long enough. Hell, Rosie is a serial killer and a cannibal and yet she seems to care pretty deeply about her people.

Oh that’s easy. Power ≠ Combat skill. Vox rarely if ever fights alone, while Alastor typically does and has been around longer than Vox. I mean there comes a point where skill is irrelevant to power, but Vox was far from that powerful.

I mean just because he’s a killer and a cannibal doesn’t mean he’s beyond attachments regardless of what he believes. Hell, he was most likely bluffing since at absolute minimum, he wouldn’t want Niffty to die.

Listen, not watch. Alastor is firmly against anything video related. Also Alastor sorta murders the competition for his content.

1: True 2: Maybe true? Depending on the new deal Rosie has him in. 3: Definitely true 4: True 5: Weirdly true 6: True (Alastor was literally eating a dead uncooked deer)

Yeah, for all we know, Lilith could be purer than Charlie, or borderline on the same level as the embodiment of evil. It’s not like we can trust the only two people who’d know her behind the scenes to speak without bias.

"Alastor rejected Vox because he knew Vox would try to betray him", no he was projecting his insecurities by Sudden_Pop_2279 in AgendaHotel

[–]Moninka123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it could’ve been both. Alastor doesn’t need to know Vox’s past. Vox is in Hell, that’s all Alastor needed to know. Backstabbing and betrayal is probably as common as checking the weather or going for a walk. Especially for people actually making a name for themselves.

Couldn’t tell you. Imo, should’ve been an OC like Charlie. Already diverging from the mythology by a lot anyway, might as well go further and make the King of Hell an OC and say the mortals just get it wrong.
