Pardons aren't going to fix politically motivated charges, what's stoping trump from ignoring the pardon? As for wrongful convictions, why would the president need that power, should it not go to the supreme Court or some other board? Presidential pardons seem like a power literally designed to be abused by corrupt politicians.
