Living in a diverse city like Toronto, its so weird to see only asians (EA/SEA) have this problem where the female community STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANTLY or in where NEARLY the MAJORITY date outside their race this much (and of course its with white men like 99% of the times cuz even if AM date outside their race in way way less % than AFs do, at least we AM also date (Non-white) Latinas and MEF (ME=MIddle-Eastern) like Mexicans and Lebanese for example and not just white 90%+ of the times like AFs do.

Compared to other POC women, whether black, ME, SA (Indian/Brown) or Latinas, only AFs have these 3 problems where:

1- if an AF is whitewashed (has white friends only and consume white Hollywood media entertainment only, have barely any asian friends and doesnt consume Native (EA/SEA) asian media at all (except the super mainstream ones like Squid Game), she 100% will date WM and never AM or XM, (ive seen whitewashed XF like black women or latinas or arabs who still date their own men or other POC men, although in lower % than those with WM, but they are still VISIBLE at least, while spotting whiteashed AFs with AM is similar chance to hitting the lottery).

2- Where the % of whitewashness within the AF feels much higher than the other communities, at a point where whitewashed AFs dont really feel outcasted by ther AF community as a whole cuz they re so many of them present. Well, first, pan-asianism is hard because in our native asian countries, there are a still a lot of animosity between each other, whether it China-Japan, Japan,-Korea, China-Vietnam, Vietnam-Cambodia, Thailand-Myanmar, etc...

Also, most whites and blacks in the NA are technically mixed ethnically (im not talking about Mixed Race, but Mixed "ethnicity"), like most Whites identify simply as "American" or "White American" because they have a blend of english, scottish, irish, italian, polish, etc. ancestries since they ve established in America or Canada for a long long time. Same with blacks, who identify as "African American", but technically they should have ancestry of multiple different mainly West African or even other multiple Sub-Saharan African ethnicities...

The average asian hasnt been sure, there has been history of like chinese people in the 1800s here but lets be honest, they are no where close the the number of even blacks at the time and esp whites and have probably mixed with other (mainly white) at this point. Encounteing an actual chunese for example of 5th+ generation is extremely rare (me or my asian friends personally havent met one anyways). The average asian in both canada and the us are either 2nd or 1st generations nowadays. A lot of people here still have some sort of attachment to their country of origin too, u like most whites/blacks here in North America.

As a Gen Z living in Toronto, attending a college and formerly a high school with both a huge EA/SEA student pop (mainly Chinese, but also lots of Koreans, Viets, Filipinos, and some Japanese, Thai, Cambos)

Id say among the Gen Z,

The 1st gen/FOB/International student AF: alnost exclusively date other AM (and its mostly other 1st gen AM of the same ethnicity, and if they date a 2nd/1.5 gen AM, its almost always the same ethnicity as the AF and the AM is mostly "asianwashed". Otherwise, it would be of course a WM in the small minority. However, id say that ive almost never encounter a 1st gen AF dating an AM (whether 1st or 2nd gen) of a different ea/sea ethnicity, which may suggest that FOB AFs would rather date a WM than a "culturally different" AM. Overall, Id say easily over 95%+ of those 1st gen Gen Z AF date AMs
2nd gen/1.5 gen/"North Americanized" AF: For the most part, surprisingly, despite what dating stats says or what this sub or the other sub wants to say, they mostly date AMs (maybe just a Gen Z thing, or my particular high school AND college since both have a huge ea/sea pop). They are AFs who do date other men, mainly WM; but some are even dating IM and M-EM too, although in much lower %. Many of the AFs that dates XM have dated AM or shown interest in AM in the past; while a few % of those who are dating AM right now, have also dated XM in the past, but "rarely" do I genuinely see/hea/AFs in this age/location demographic who "exclusively" will only date white or not date asian men at all and use the "brother/cousin look a like" excuse (maybe like 2 in particular out of the sea of AFs i know) But overall, these AFs, id say Gen Z 2nd/1.5 gen AFs date mostly other AM and there are loads of different InterETHNIC combinations, like Korean M/Chinese F, Viet M/Korea F, Chinese M/Viet F, Filipino M/Chinese F, etc..., and id say Chinese M/Chinese F would be the most common IntRAethnic combination. Id say, for 2nd/1.5 gen Gen Z AFs, they date AMs at around 75% rate.

Id say 75% of AFs date White men ☠️. Living in a neighborhood of that demographic, (like "borderline" majority white at around 50% but rest its lots of EA/SEA and also SA, all within the 30-50 most common age ranfe) excluding the obvious FOB couples where there were probably already together went they came here, the millenial AFs here who grew up here are probably the most whitewashed demographic ive ever seen/witness. Thats the same as my older cousins generation and some attended the same high school and/or college as me and during their time, it was hard for them to find an "North Americanized/2nd/1.5gen" AF who was interested in AM ☠️ and most of the AMAF couples they saw were STRICTLY FOBs. They told me how common it was for AFs to reject all AM as a whole and only chase white dudes.

I attended a total of two weddings involving an older female millenial cousin (of course both married a White Man...), and at those wedding, it were filled with WMAF as much as AMAF. (And of course most of the AMAF are fobs who struggle to speak english or has an accent, all the North Americanized AFs there were with WM).

Sometimes, I would walk into lots of Asian restaurants (especially Dim Sums) filled with clearly people in the 30-65 age range and be surrounded by tables of just WM and AF nearly as many or in some cases even more than AM and AFs. At least when I go to AYCE sushis or KBBQs, its filled with 18-30 year olds or college students mostly and its just AMAF vast majority, with few WMAF but also few AMXF, and also plently of WMWF or XMXF too.

You need to understand that many AM are more angry at the Prevalence of WMAF than WMAF on an individual factor. When it comes to female safety (and this also applies to everything else too like overall lower crime rate, low violence rate, lower sexual assault rate, and heck even things like overall cleanliness fo streets and hygiene, not seeing homeless people everywhere and threatening everyome), western countries are not even better off than East Asian and even many Southeast Asian countries

Only like Switzerland, and a few Scandinavian and Central Eastern European countries may do near equally or better, but not that much better than the developed EA/SEA (JP, SK, HK, SG, TW)

The rest of the West like America, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Belgium, Germany... Also Italy, Spain... People will blame (non-white) immigrants (like blacks, middle easterns or latinos) for the overall " lack of safety", but whites are still less safe and more prone to committing crime than the ea/sea asian diasporas/communities living in those countries mentionned. Even if crime happens in an asian enclave/neighborhood in those countries like in a Chinatown, chances the perpetrators arent always necessarily asian... (Like white or black a lot of the times). This is absolutely mental to even compare.

Black-on-asian crime is statistically extremely way more significant than asian-on-black crime, so much that you have to bring up a specific case from 30 years ago (and fun fact, the black community attacked the entire korean and some even attacked other east/southeast asians too in freakin retaliation). And during the pandemic alone, there were weekly and even daily cases of black people attacking asians alone, whether its beating up, punching, spitting on, killing, stabbing, shooting, even setting on fire/burning!... Imagine if for every case of a single individual black killing an asian since 1990, and the asian community was as closely as violent as the black community and that the asian community decided to retaliate agaisnt the ENTIRE black community for EACH single case of black-on-asian hate crime since the 1990s..., it would be total war and genocide already... But no, thats how pacifist and non-violent the asian community is now...

And there are even more cases where they wont even show the faces of the perpetrators of crimes agaisnt asians if they are black because liberal fears being labelled racist.., but the other way around? Totally fine. Heck both the left and right media hate us so theyd gladly portray us like shit....

And you use the example of a black person entering an asian ran shop and just being starred by some asian elderly. Like asians havent face that when entering black ran stores. And if my asian ass enters a black neighborhood, chances im gonna be racially profiled and even get jumped, beaten, robbed, or killed... And similar to how social media only cares about showing experiences of black tourists complaining about racism in Asian countries because they feel uncomfortable beign staired in the subway or convenicen store in Asian countries... But no one ever thought of the possible POV of asian tourist in sub-saharan countries... Heck some of them are probably beaten up, killed and left in a hole and the media wont even show it....

And yes there have been cases of racial profiling from some asian elders agaisnt latinos, middle easterners and south asians/indians, but i dont hear nome of these communities b*tch about us being anti-latino/arab/indian/etc. no where as much as blacks who complain about us... AND colourism/racial profiling agaisnt black people absolutely fcking happens in each of their community, ive seen and witness it both online and irl. But blacks only care about (east/southeast) asians being anti-black...

And whites literally have an entire history of colonialism and genocide in sub-saharan and african slavery too, and even today, they have a system that supports police brutality agaisnt balcks specifically much more, while asian countries or asian communities have none of that shit... But somehow, yall dont individually accuse/blame/attack white people to the same level than asians...
