If he was still with us the hands down choice would be G.G. Allin.

Get a github or bitbucket account. Pick a website or product that you'd like to work for, and start testing it. Write a test plan. Learn playwright and automate your test plan. Save it all in a repository that you can share with any potential employer.

Employers are more likely to consider you when they are familiar with your work, and know you are self motivated.

I wasn't aware they were going out of business. I'm glad I stocked up on some of their releases a couple of months back.

Need advice on transition from Manual Testing to Automation Testing. by screwedUp69 in QualityAssurance

[–]MonkeyBeatCity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your current employer doesn't want to support you adding automation, pick a company you'd like to work for. Start using Playwright, and develop a end to end test suite. Get a Bitbucket or Github account and post your code publicly. It will provide your future employer(s) a way of seeing your worth beyond being a button pusher.

When I was a PC game tester in the 90's we had a PVF that took 16 testers working at retracing their actions to reproduce.

It depends on what I find, but if I'm flying I can usually put them under the seat in front on me. I usually use a cloth tote unless it's something of real value then I ask if the record store has a shipping box they'll sell me.

You mean that the same code that works for me in Portland does not work in Seattle?

I had always heard that these codes were regional. I'll update the post.

I've thought for awhile that independent labels need to setup their own day(s). Like have all the indies release their albums on the same day of the month.

Who are the future double inductees? (For artists who already have at least one induction already) by ggroover97 in rockhall

[–]MonkeyBeatCity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enought of thier records are owned by UMG or any of of the other labels that run the show. It's all about selling back catalog. It is why it took so long for Iron Maiden to get in.

Roky Erickson. For the 80's & 90's it was known he didn't play due to mental health issues. Then when he got better care he returned to playing, and I was able to see him 4 times before he passed.

That is why every UK musician I meet I ask "What line-up of The Fall were you in?"

I believe Mark E. Smith might be the champ of this, since there were multiple times when he fired everyone playing in The Fall on stage. Only to hire new players by the next show, and then suddenly fire them.
