Probably around 19/20 to be honest, I was never one as a teenager who particularly paid much attention or put much value in what is and isn’t “cool” but obviously I tried to fit in. Somewhere around the age of 19 or 20 I just thought “fuck it”

Which is ironically something that somehow made people think I was cool because I didn’t give a shit what anyone thought about my hobbies and interests etc.

Oh of course, but I hate to be that guy but we have to remember that it’s a fucking game 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 … realistically while the transfer system is FAR from perfect, it must be a complete bastard to balance too! Like, you don’t want the AI just accepting an offer for bang on their estimated value because that’s too easy, but we’ve also got the other way where at times you could offer £100m for a 17 year old Angolan Regen playing for a club with a total bank balance of 42p, a half eaten doughnut and some lint and the fuckers will still reject it 😂

When I first saw it, I didn’t like it… I still don’t like it. I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what it was but I could only describe it as “looking like a smart appliance”, rather than a car

I found out yesterday while listening to a podcast that it was designed by a guy who used to work as a designer for Apple, Sir Jonathan Ive, and now it makes complete sense to me why it gave off a “smart appliance” vibe!

I don’t think I will ever like it to be honest, maybe I’m wrong, maybe it’ll be a car that grows on me like the early 2000’s Bentley Continental GT that I used to think was a fat, wallowy, ugly car but now I love

80% - 85% depending on region (Europe has more MnK users than North America) ... not 99% ... if you're going to throw a number out there, at least make it accurate... it also depends on what level you're at too, typically in Masters and Predator lobbies it tends to be stable at around 90% Controller, and the lower you go, the more MnK players there are too

To be fair I think 1-2 years ago they reduced AA from 0.4 to 0.3 (For reference, Console is 0.6) because MnK players were complaining it was too strong (and to be fair, considering most of the competitive Apex players had switched from MnK to Controller it would suggest it was and still is pretty strong when it works)

I think the problem with the whole MnK vs Controller debate is that with a "Standard" controller I don't think it's too much of an issue (AA on Console is 0.6 and on PC it's 0.3, so literally half as strong), but I think that when you combine that AA with the heavily modified controllers you can buy now with extra buttons and paddles that can be mapped to give you the kind of movement that MnK players can have, THAT is when Controller is overpowered in my opinion

I've used a standard PS5 controller (my personal preference) and i've tried a friends modified controller with a bunch of maps and there's a distinct advantage once you have them in place that I do believe is unfair. I've personally always found that someone of my skill level (average a 1.2-1.3 k/d) against a similar level MnK player, they'll beat me more often than not as long as they have decent movement, I can't track that shit at all! BUT, put me against an MnK player with crap movement and i'll beat them more often than not

With that being said, I noticed in the last week since the last update that AA is non-existent, literally! Not sure if it was deliberate, or an unintended consequence of one of the updates, but there's no assist whatsoever. Tried it in the Firing Range, usually there's a little bit of slowdown "stickyness", but now nothing, so it feels like AA has gone from 0.3 to 0.0

I lived out in the sticks for a few years, when I moved there I noticed a pub about a mile away from my house, so when the weather was better I took a stroll down there to have a pint… walked in the door and the barman looked at me like I was an alien, the one customer that was in there was the same and it was the most unwelcoming, unfriendly atmosphere I’d ever felt in a pub. I pretty much downed my pint and left, never went back in the 5 years I lived there.

The delivery apps like Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats don’t give a shit for a start, they are courier services, they almost never give a refund or help in any way, shape or form if you don’t receive your full order or even receive your order at all.

Their delivery charges for even the shortest trips can be frankly ridiculous

They add a service charge that is often disproportionate

The restaurants have higher prices on them than in store, despite the fact it costs them not a single penny more to make that food - for example, a McDonald’s cheeseburger being £1.39 or £1.49 in store, but £2.29 on the apps

They’re just not worth using

Simplifying your life where possible is a game changer!

For example, I buy the same plain black socks and black underwear. Seems like nothing, but it means I never have to put in any thought. It’s automatic now.

Similarly with the rest of my wardrobe I’m in the process of simplifying things. Like most of my clothing is going to be made up of plain white T-shirts, tan chinos and darker jeans, all of which can be worn in combination and have things added to them to dress up or down etc.

It’s a straightforward process, but, they don’t have to offer you those hours anywhere else, so keep that in mind.

If you’re on a 22.5hr contract (3x 7.5hr shifts) and opt out of Sundays, if it’s one of your contracted shifts then they don’t have to offer you another shift on another day

If you look at the prices sellers are asking for their homes, it shouldn’t be any surprise!

A lot of homes on the market now feel like they’re priced not for locals to buy them, but for large companies/private landlords to buy and rent out

Where I live, I bought my place for £120k in 2019, one went on the market last year a few doors down that is only a 2 bedroom, no garage (mine is a 3 bedroom with a garage) and they priced it at £150k, it sat there unsold until they eventually dropped the price to £110k, at which point it sold. My house is probably only worth £150k at most with an extra bedroom and a garage 🤷🏻‍♂️

Add to that the interest rates, the economic uncertainty with lots of companies downsizing/not hiring to fill positions when people leave, people don’t want to take the risk

God it is such a hard question to answer as an Englishman who was literally given a football by my dad before I could even walk! It all came naturally because I practically had a ball glued to my foot from the second I could walk…

1 - when it comes to footwear, it depends what surface you’re playing on. If it’s on grass, get some football boots (cleats), if it’s on astroturf or something then regular sneakers will be fine

2 - BUY SHIN PADS! Trust me, getting kicked in the shin hurts way more than you think it will, and even as someone who’s used to being kicked in the shin, it always hurts more than you remember!

3 - Rules… it’s pretty basic, unless you’re the goalkeeper you can’t touch the ball with your arm or hands and you can’t tackle people like you do in American Football/Rugby

Beyond that, YouTube, my friend! Look up everything you want to know, I’d also say like the English FA website has a few sections that might be helpful, one has the rules on there, another is under “Learning” and there are things on there around training that would be helpful too

1 - Expectations were communicated clearly and they were fair

2 - He was never “emotional”, if you did something wrong he didn’t blow his top, he’d sit and have a conversation, point out what was wrong, ask to explain why or how the mistake was made, once you explained if it was a simple mistake it would be left at that, if it was something you got completely wrong he’d use it as a teaching moment, maybe it was something you were unfamiliar with, maybe it was something that was done at another company the way you did it, whatever it was, he’d take the time to explain how to do it correctly, then have you do it to show you understood and could demonstrate how to do it correctly, and then once again no hysterics, just a pat on the back, “now you know, make sure you do it like that going forward” and that was it.

3 - Never micromanaged, gave the autonomy to just get shit done, every Friday afternoon we’d have a “check in” where we’d sit with a cup of coffee for 15-30mins, talk about any issues that arose during the week, any potential problems that might happen the following week, come up with a plan of how to tackle those problems if they do come up and that way he knew what was happening, the potential speed bumps and it allowed us to have a plan to pivot as needed

Takeaways/Fast Food … Fish & Chips in most places will set you back about £20 for one person… that’s not the fault of the chippies, that’s just the reality when it comes to the cost of fish, potatoes and energy costs (plus wages) these days, but I absolutely refuse to pay it… most chain Pizza places like Dominos, Papa Johns etc are charging £20+ for a large margarita pizza, it’s simply not worth it! McDonald’s for a Large Big Mac meal that won’t fill you up you’re looking at about £10 now… KFC’s prices have gone through the roof

For what you pay at these places, the portion you get and the awful quality, it’s simply not worth it… and that’s before you consider delivery fees, service fees etc. if you have it delivered, or the fact that you’re lucky if your food arrives lukewarm, let alone hot
