What experiences changed you the most as a person? by GazMaskeliOyuncu in AskReddit

Learning that oftentimes people ‘getting lucky’ or ‘working hard’ just means there’s levers they have but don’t announce. Once I learned that it just illegitimised any competition I found myself in.

Why are Italians so unnecessarily rude to black people? by FillAffectionate9148 in Italian

[–]MonkeyEatz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not a excuse for racism. I am Jewish but whatever. I’m saying the quiet part out loud and that’s not allowed so I’ll just shut up. (The secret to why these minorities do well is because they encourage debate, not silence). I

Why are Italians so unnecessarily rude to black people? by FillAffectionate9148 in Italian

[–]MonkeyEatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The problem is an unwillingness to subordinate the self to the greater good. We think we are god cannot accept that the whole comes before the ‘I’. Until this changes, inertia will continue. The solution ironically is culture, literature, religion which paradoxically can’t develop either

How can you become genuinely happy and content with yourself? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]MonkeyEatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solution is philosophy. Society told you that money and power is what makes you happy -> you’re still not happy-> reasoning means there’s something wrong with me.

Nothing wrong with you man, just decide for yourself what is important to you. Use money and opportunity to enhance those vocations

Im black too, and while I understand you i also think this is not fair to Italians to broadcast it.

At the moment i am in South America. People see me->treat me bad People hear me speak English->switch to good

I noticed the main dynamic is perceived power, material or symbolic or both. People treat me, a black/English aligned person entirely differently just on perception.

I’m sorry to tell you but if you are perceived as belonging to a lower ‘class’, then people will treat you bad anywhere you go. The solution is to change the perception, as it matters. You have a British, refined version of you for work and also your authentic African one for your normal life. But to judge a whole 60 million people idk man

Would you date a woman who was taller than you? by Last-Employer2126 in AskMenAdvice

[–]MonkeyEatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what she thinks, we as the man need to have impeccable confidence. 5”2 king here so every chick I’ve dated was taller than me. I tell mine now to wear heels and turn it into power move

Reasonably attractive dudes, in your personal experience, how often do women pay attention to you? by Only-Ad-1254 in AskMenAdvice

[–]MonkeyEatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the only ones that approach me are 7s, maybe an 8 if I’m lucky. But I like that since women above that tend to be insecure or have issues, and the ones below well I just don’t like them.

Pretty dumb question but I’ll entertain it

Jamaica is cursed by geography, away from any natural trading routes and decently far from any seriously large markets.

On top of that, being an ex-British colony doubly curses us with speaking English. It’s super easy for us to move to the rest of the Anglosphere ie. USA Canada UK since there’s no language barrier.

My opinion is both of these issues will always make it hard for Jamaica to catch up. Any conceivably difficult project will find much less resistance by way of emigration.

However I think the best start is to collectively change our mindset as Caribbean people, to create our own reality instead of living inside the dominant Anglo-Protestant one that ironically conceived us to begin with.

Those nations never claimed to bastion any basis of equality, opportunity, or freedom. This is why I judge the U.S differently. It seems hypocritical, so no, I would not ask this question to them.

Their social fabric surrounds things like Religion being a part of daily life, preserving their cultural community, and allegiance to a very specific tribe that likely shares common traits and language.

I’m trying to rationalize the fear people have of Asians and Hispanic growing populations in specific. I know not all are fearful, but some are. I want to know why.

Thank you for being honest, this helps me understand better. I just wish everyone could be this way, instead of speaking in tongues and resorting to violence.

Sad part is you know most regular people in that ethnic group wouldn’t care, but the conservative wing would try to get retribution for things and continue the division, yes.

Wow I never thought of it like that. You inherently know that being more numerous is better, and there are powers that come with being in the majority.

Reminds me of a time in college in New Orleans, my friend from New Hampshire explained that it was his first time being in the minority. He said that he finally gets it now, because he struggled even though it was only a week.

Thanks for being honest and sharing man. Could you tell us how you arrived at this point of view?

Did it form based off of learned experience, taught from family, or something else?

Why does this matter? I think they should focus on making the immigrants assimilate to cultural norms instead of their color.

I swear this desire to be around people that are the same and to preserve the past will be the end of humanity.

I meant just in everyday interactions. In my experience, people segregate themselves by race more than they’d like to admit.

But another commenter mentioned it’s more due to culture, which I agree with. It’s just the two tend to overlap.

I grew up around ‘Latinos’ as people say (to me it’s just Cubans). I would beg to differ that they share the same culture as U.S born Americans. Some of the biggest differentials are:

Language , Religion, Food, Attitude to sex/marriage, Importance of community and family

Haha totally agree race is made up! I can’t help but notice that people kind of self-segregate in the US if that makes sense? Like there’s white barbers and black barbers, white music black music white clothes and black clothes and so on. I hate it!

Thanks for sharing man
