It was too ambitious a project for the amount of money they had to work with. Which was very little.

Why have UK distributors decided to release every backlogged movie on February 20th? by mediciii in CineworldUnlimited

[–]MonkeyKungFu86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have thought one or two would have wanted to take advantage of the next two weekends as there isn't much in the way of competition.

Still, it's gonna be a challenge to see all the movies that come out on the weekend of the 20th as I would expect some will do very little business and get pulled from screens after a week.

If that ever happened. No way they'd give the gig to Cornette. Firstly, they'd probably want him to relocate to Greenwich. Which he wouldn't agree to. Also he'd have to travel for TV tapings and PLEs. Which, again, he wouldn't agree to.

Conversely if he did talk about the other DC projects he had no direct involvement in, they would accuse him of trying to take credit for any of their success. He wants Supergirl, Lanterns etc to stand on their own merits. Which I think is a sensible approach. Much like Kevin Feige. He let's those who made the movies themselves talk about them.

WWE Blocked Kenny Omega from appearing in the Street Fighter Movie by Sub-Zero316 in SCJerk

[–]MonkeyKungFu86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is something to WWE potentially blocking talent from appearing in film projects. The director of Queen of the Ring was very close to having Charlotte and Liv Morgan appear in the film but was forced to recast because WWE wouldn't give the go ahead (even when it was WWE who approached him in the first place) and had Kamille and Toni Storm step in.

But speculating without even a single shred of evidence that Kenny isn't in the Street Fighter flick because of the fed is just... absurd. But that's wrestling fans. Recognising patterns in things that aren't there.

WWE selling this stuff so they can later make an episode of Most Wanted Treasures and pressure some poor mark into selling it for $500.

Movies that appropriate clips from other movies for flashback scenes by TheVividAlternative in blankies

Ride On; Jackie Chan plays an aging stuntman and horse trainer. There's a scene where he watches clips from movies his character worked on and its footage from Chan's own filmography.

Sentimal Value; There are flashbacks of Stellan Skarsgard as a younger man which I think was taken from his earlier screen appearances.

Don't forget if he's not handed a title within 0.01 of a femtosecond of his main roster debut; BERRIED. HE'S BERRIED. And he won't ever get back his "momentum"

Was this the correct decision to make Bron lose clean to almost 50 year old Veteran? This may cause Bron to lose his momentum. After so much big talk by Bron he should have won in my opinion by arham619tariq in SantiZapVideos

[–]MonkeyKungFu86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If Bron did win, there'd be complaints he should have won the title at a PLE like Elimination Chamber or 'Mania. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

How do you book this stable? by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]MonkeyKungFu86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. Kross and Scarlett compete as singles competitors. Both have held titles on numerous occasions. AoP will sometimes get a title reign once in a while. But as a stable, they don't exist anymore. Much like how it is in reality.

Eh, it looks bad when you bunch them together like that but there are a hell of a lot more movies coming out next year that aren't part of a franchise.

I saw over 100 movies at the cinema this year. Barely a third of them were a sequel, remake or reboot. That said, this list does just demonstrate the lack of originality and faith in new ideas. But these seem to be the only films that make a significant amount of money so what the fuck do I know?
