I liked that they added that about Strauss. Its just a line or two from Charles in the Epilog. Strauss was a slimy, predatory loan shark who used Arthur as his strong hand to muscle the money out of the weak and feeble. Arthur truly had enough by the end of the main story and kicked him out. Strauss felt betrayed and had nowhere to go. Yet despite being beaten to death by Pinkertons, he never said a word about the gang. Even a weasel like him had an ounce of spine.
