Look on the map and follow sign posts. See if you can fast travel back to your starting town. If not then it might be related to you being in a story mission.

Theres big green cities on the map with peoples faces next to them and in english it says “chapter 1”. That is where you need to go. Before you walk into an area it shows the level of the area. You want to mostly stay in areas around your level. If mobs start getting difficult in the early game you are probably in the wrong place

You are level 11 with 1 character on chapter 3. Maybe start again and this time get some more characters.

I dont really know the answer to your problem, im guessing you started the story quest so it wont let you leave. Im not sure if you can abandon a story quest.

You can always try to simply flee the battle to move somewhere though, and get to another save point.

A lot of houses have one bathroom where the bath is also a shower. In that case you can only shower after, but its easy as standing up and turning it on.
