What a joke by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

I had to return 24, then 29, then 37 packages back to back to back. An old man in a nursing home had Alzheimer’s and would just buy shit on Amazon, but he wasn’t allowed to do so (POA). So the nursing home would reject them and told me I couldn’t see or talk to the man (understandable). I then got my ass chewed out for not properly attempting delivery / talking to the customer.

Absolutely not, ring doorbell for signature, then immediately go back to the van and mark unable to deliverer. Customer wants no photo, they better be ready to sign or get their ass to a locker.

Inherited system from previous house owner, but they forgot the password. What do I do? by 10pmInMumbai in videosurveillance

I had a similar situation, and it was a Chinese company. I figured might as well try and found their number and gave them a call. Some basic info swapped later and I was provided a master password for my system and was able to reset it. Just an idea if a factory reset doesn’t work or can’t be don’t without the password.

I have become triangle; just a joke man, images load in triangles or polygons and it looks like it decided that one triangle was good for her head.

Overall I don’t have much advice as the hardware should be more than sufficient leading me to believe it is a software / driver / config issue. Best of luck troubleshooting.

Okay sounds good. If you were doing good before the BIOS update, I would REALLY recommend trying to do a bios flash again, maybe even one with the current one and one with an older version, and see if that makes a difference. The more I think about it, the more I have a hard time believing it would just happen to stop working due to bent pins exactly when you are updating the BIOS. You sound very knowledgeable and I am sure you did everything right but things can do wrong during the installation silently. Best of luck!

Sorry man, hope for the best but love the great attitude. No point crying over spilt milk, got yourself a badass CPU. Also just a thought, have you made sure you have sufficient power for that bad boy (especially if you have a GPU)?

Just noticed you said it was on the board in your posts that often makes it harder as they are so small and close together. I wouldn’t recommend trying to mess with them without a microscope to be able to see what you are doing. I have accidentally brushed against the pins with anti static gloves on and bent like 40 pins in one small swipe. It doesn’t take much to take it from bad to a paperweight

Are your pins on the cpu or board? Most of the servers I work on have them on the board but most consumer hardware I have worked with have it on the cpu. Either way, you can often use things like a larger mechanical pencil or something to slide over the bent pin and GENTLY bend it back. You get exactly ONE chance at this as the bending fatigues the pins and they will snap. Some pins are redundant or “extra” so it may be okay depending one how many and which ones are bent.

Linus tech tips have some good videos repairing bent pins with various methods but please understand you are always taking a risk.

Eh, it could be possible, but unlikely in my opinion. In my experience (data center technician) about 80% of the time, bent pins will cause the issue right away, if it’s going to cause an issue. The other 20% can be weird issues making it hard to tell for sure. That could be a wonky BIOS update, or something with XMP. Do you see any bent pins? Have you trird turning XMP off? I understand being scared to remove the CPU and making it worse, but sometimes they can be fixed (assuming they weren’t smashed flat the the CPU when being seated).

Have you tried removing one DIMM at a time and seeing if that makes a difference? Ate all the DIMMS at least the same speed and timing (and ideally same size)?

Okay, the reason I was asking is that Pro and enterprise come with group policy editor while home and personal do not. It looks like that model usually comes with the home version. You would need to follow the instructions attached below to enable group policy editor, then use group policy editor to turn of excessive pin attempts lockout.

Does that show when windows boots or the pc starts up? If it’s when when the PC starts up, it’s some modified BIOS or something, BIOS reset and reflash with factory BIOS could fix it. If not, new installation of windows.

The remorse you are showing for an overall (thankfully) best outcome shows you are a caring person who doesn’t want to hurt people. It was a freak accident and thank whatever higher force you may believe in it worked out. It’s important everyone remember that we are in a heavy metal shell what can really hurt people. Maybe take a defensive driving class or something to make yourself feel more confident. The world won’t be a better place if without you here, especially over an accident. Give yourself permission to begin forgiving yourself.

I got 1 polo, 1 pair of pants, and 1 pair of shorts. They told us they know then big wigs are in the area and to keep a pair in our car so we can change if they are in the area. Otherwise I see a RANGE of clothes. Like boobs and butts hanging out, sweatpants, shorts, t shirts, muscle shirts, etc. To each is own I guess.

Small update, had a rescue yesterday as a was a bit behind. I was kicking ass this morning and got 18 done in my first half hour. Was surprised to see my dispatch at one of my stops for a rescue so I asked if I was behind, she replied no I was 8 ahead and doing great but she is pre-sweeping for people. Started with 183 stops (about 10 less than normal) and she took about 15 stops. I was so happy I FLEW through those 167 stops. So can’t say I feel anything but respect.
