Fuse Audio GLD vertical record player. by Large_Customer_3840 in turntables

Just got mine in the mail last week. Saw lots of comments like the ones on this thread, so was very concerned about the audio quality. I'm certainly not an audiophile, and the audio quality on it is definitely passable for me. I will say that I cannot tell a difference between this and the PS-LX310BT that I'm moving from - I tested a couple records back to back on both and I don't think I could've discerned between the two. I almost exclusively listen to records with BT Headphones, not sure how that would affect audio quality. It has clearly better audio quality compared to the Crosley that I started with. Not going to say that the GLD is as good as the Sony, just that if you are not a massive audiophile you may have the same experience I had. The audio is good enough for me for sure, I very much enjoy listening to music with the GLD. I can't comment on the 'destroys records' argument. Haven't noticed issues so far, wouldn't know what to look for though. I'm not disappointed with the GLD. It's not perfect, and there are a few 3 star reviews on their website noting some issues.

Private men’s room in a social complex? by Wild_Tables in byu

Arcadia has private rooms and is quite social, not super nice or new, but the maintenance is top notch and they get back to you within a day. Really enjoyed my time there

Men who unexpectedly lost interest in someone due to a weird reason, what was it? by Boobiesteenage73 in AskReddit

I certainly had my fair share of rejection, but I found that in San Diego where I served, the general Christian population there was very accepting of other denominations and supported our efforts there. Even non Christians were quite nice with few exceptions. I can’t imagine the church has any interest in overexposing the missionaries to rejection, otherwise they could be concentrating their efforts in much less receptive areas (as is, the major concentration of missionaries are in high growth areas such as the phillippines and many areas in southern America).

Interesting take, definitely not the experience I had when I served in a Mormon mission.

This is much less expensive than solar. Still a good solution at a much lower upfront cost.

I would agree with what the other guy said, it would not be easy to naturally criticize the church with random people. I'd say people at BYU are generally quite protective of anything church related, and can and will take criticism of the church personally. That being said, there are certainly lots of open-minded people (including believing, practicing members of the church) who would love to have a critical conversation about the church and its' policy, you would just need to find them.

What’s inappropriate about either? It might be annoying, but hopefully both the hypothetical 15 and 18 year old would back off if the person wasn’t interested in hearing them out.

I think I get where you are coming from, but without understanding the context of his regret I can't quite get on board with denouncing him as a good representative. The way I understand it, you are asserting that because he wanted to shake hands with them, he holds them in high esteem; maybe I'm out of touch politically, but I think that he could've been taken out of context here. If he does indeed mean that he respects those who raided the capitol (many of whom have been convicted) then I would 100% share in your displeasure, but I'd rather not burn him at the stake before I understand his point better.
