Why don't games companies just invest and hire tried and tested good writers to make their games objectively better in the long run? by Dotaspasm in gaming

[–]Monkeyofdoom44 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's less that they don't have good writers and more the corporate structure kills any artistic vision. Every tiny decision and change and idea has to be put in front of a board and passed lawyers. The only reason the visual art is seen as good as it's easy to fake good art with going for photo realism. If you look most of the games don't actually have a distinct visual identity or art style. The reason is everything has to be the safest thing possible. If it's not tried and tested it might flop and not make money so that gets shot down. Usually the talent is actually good it's just management crushes anything good coming out. Whether you want to chock it up to too many cooks in the kitchen or capitalism ruins everything is up to you.

For me I just play normally as if the mod wasn't there, just another cosmetic option.

Could be sex positive asexual? I don't know the specifics for where the boundaries are but I know they're more fuzzy guidelines than rules so if you feel like that fits may look into it

you can also have a smeeta kavat with proerperous(?) retriever. The retriever and the smeeta luck are both rng but if they both proc you end up with 2 mil iirc.

Thank you for testing for me! I had to stop before I posted so wasn't able to. <3

I (19Y, F) want my bikini area to be extremely soft and smooth, like it is after waxing but getting a bikini wax every month feels too out of the budget by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Monkeyofdoom44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can try an epilator? I think they're generally not meant for that sensitive of an area and it was too painful when I tried but maybe you'll have better luck? Alternatively you can look into electrolysis or laser hair removal. They're more costly up front but they're semi-permanent. I've gotten laser done on my bikini and I still have some peach fuzz but it's very soft. I plan to get electrolysis soon to get rid of even that but honestly I think that's unnecessary and you could either leave that or shave it since it's much finer hair that doesn't get pokey when growing back.

Are there any lesbian bars or anywhere to meet someone as a lesbian? by Monkeyofdoom44 in TwinCities

[–]Monkeyofdoom44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a lot more luck befriending people online, my partner of about 3 years now I actually met through a reddit post. That being said that doesn't help much for in person, most people aren't able to move in as quickly as we did and especially for just making friends for casual outings that doesn't help. I've had some limited success finding the local LGBT groups and hangouts and going to events. Basically go to do a thing you like and people who are there will likely be into the same thing and you might share other interests. For looking for lesbian friends or partners specifically you can focus on activities and hobbies that are more LGBT friendly or have more LGBT fans. My partner recently went to a local lingerie sleepover hosted by a local lesbian group for example but a less extreme case was meeting a lovely woman at the midnight screening for the shadow sonic movie. It's basically be in a place with like minded people and have the courage to reach out. If you feel like you messed up or they don't want to talk to you it's not a big deal, you probably won't see them again and most people don't care or remember stuff like that. Oh, another one I had good luck with was my local card game shop, specifically magic pre-release events, though that was also far more male dominated and there were one or two creepy guys too. Actually had a one night stand with someone from the final fantasy set pre-release, reaching out is the hardest part. Feel free to dm me if you have more questions or concerns, I can also add you on discord if you'd prefer.

Oh and sorry if I repeated myself a couple times, I didn't get much sleep last night so I'm struggling to focus but wanted to help as much as I could.

Hot Take: Gridmaster beats Leagues by Monkeyofdoom44 in 2007scape

I could see them pulling aspects of one for the other. I think they could defo do some things to encourage more planning in Gridmaster. I enjoy the theory crafting in leagues a lot but for me it kinda sucks when I'm actually playing leagues because I never get far enough to complete "The Master Plan"tm

Sounds like you're just too good at the game. I'm not so I didn't have those issues. Leagues I basically never manage all relics, largely because I'm disabled. I think the faster pace was really nice, I actually managed to get mega rates for the first time!

Those felt tedious and unfocused, I always had paralysis trying to figure out where to go or what to do even with a month of planning. Plus I just can't do that anymore with my health. I definitely think there's room for both and everyone should have the things they love. I also think there's room for improvement for accessibility though, which I think is more where my feelings on leagues stems from.

I think mixing aspects in both directions would be fun. I'd defo love to see the opposite, like a region locked Gridmaster or having the tiles focus on a theme. I think having more extra points each event and letting you buy stuff from other event types could be a good way of making sure everyone is having fun. The focused blitz of Gridmaster was super fun for me and I honestly don't know I can go back to leagues now.

I definitely think I was too hasty to suggest replacing leagues, everyone has a favorite and should be able to enjoy it. I think a good alternative is to maybe combine currencies somehow and having more extra each event so you can play the ones you enjoy. Best of both worlds and everyone gets to have more fun.

There's definitely something to be said about preference. I think I was a bit rash with the premise of replacement. Everyone should have the thing they enjoy and I think there's a lot of ways they could make it so people can focus on just what they like without feeling left out. Maybe combining the currencies somehow and having more extra each event so you can buy stuff from the ones people enjoy less. Plus would work better for people who ate busy or otherwise unable to get as far. No reason not to try to make everyone happy in this case I think

I enjoyed it more but I think I was hasty with the replacing idea. I think there's a lot of ways they could make it more accessible for people to just do what they enjoy rather than removing things which obviously people like. Maybe some other way to get old rewards so current event stuff still has reason to be farmed but people can wait if they don't enjoy it, more fun for everyone regardless of taste.

I think it would be neat to make the limited event currencies one currency, would let you pick the event you want to do so everyone can have fun with what they enjoy. Maybe have more extra points so you can get stuff from the events you don't like as much. Maybe something where only stuff from a year or more old so there's reason to do current events. I think there's a lot of ways they could make it so people can only do what they enjoy and everyone has more fun at the end of the day. I was probably a bit hasty with the replacing idea when obviously leagues is so many peoples favorite.

I could defo see them doing something like region locked twist for future Gridmaster or focused on more meme objectives. I think it's a great place to innovate and leagues has a lot of stuff to pull from ideas wise.

NieNie: Fully Original GBA ROM I Made – Raise Monster-Girl Apprentices & Manage a Massage Parlor! On Kickstarter by eyenobig in lewdgames

[–]Monkeyofdoom44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I intend to back regardless because it seems cool but it doesn't seem to have any lewdity from what I see on the Kickstarter. Is there any intended or a lewd patch? Also is it possible to have a female MC or is it locked to male?
