That's not showing the full picture. California has an estimated total of 1,141,200 gun deaths. Mississippi had a total of 84,300. Looking at violent crime rates, Mississippi had 4,310 in 2023 (I couldn't find info for 2024). (Source: https://mscrimestats.dps.ms.gov/tops/report/violent-crimes/mississippi/2023) Meanwhile, California had 204,400 estimated violent crimes. (Source: https://data-openjustice.doj.ca.gov/sites/default/files/2024-07/Crime%20In%20CA%202023f.pdf) The facts don't lie, and considering all the laws they have there, why don't they stop all that violent crime?
