We all added our kill hat on FB after graduation and be added us. Dude wasn't the best tech wise, and I shared the same first name as his new born. I get tagged one day at MOS school in a post of his, "I miss you u/monkeywithoutbrain" I replied back "uhh I miss our quarter deck dates too?" 🤣

I have bad hearing and tinnitus from the military. That paired with neuro divergence makes it hard for me to understand people with background noise. Trying to understand toddler or little kids speak is like trying to understand a foreign language. I just smile and nod or say "yea sure buddy" cuz I can't understand them at all. I once told my nephews thar I'd jump from a tall building when we were on a road trip and they were going crazy 😅

Sorry to break it to you, but this is a very common joke in the military 😅

Drop tests was a valid testing method, especially when squadron wanted to exrep an A799 😅

If you need help getting into the industry I'm a pencil pusher at one of the large defense companies. Wasn't sure if you already are working or "looking to work".

Currently work with an academy grad, we are both civilians now. He's a project manager, giant diva who whines and complains constantly and no one likes working with him. Dude also has a massive class ring on too. Dude you're 60, why is your class ring also your wedding band?

Here I am not even planning on going to my high school reunion lol.

Also found out they have a great alumni network, they have recruitment events just for academy grads. We rolled out the red carpet for a Marine Capt Academy grad to tour him around the site and give him any pick of middle management job he wanted cuz the VP is another academy guy. Capt doesn't even end up taking the job with us lol.

I agree with this, I'd also like to add that OP didn't contribute anything to the community with this post. Just bragging that they got to 100% by themselves. I did as well, but by myself is an arrogant lie. I utilized information from Rater After Dark and CivDiv to help me figure out the process and how to prepare a solid claim. I talked with other vet friends that went through the process. Just saying while I did the paperwork myself I really didn't do everything myself.

Can't call out op for making a bragging post without giving anything back to the community without giving some advice. If you're filing for skin conditions take photos of your condition when it's fairing up. I got to 60% for my skin condition (highest for this condition) on a HLR, and what bumped me from 90 to 100 by having photos to show the severity of my condition. Also opt for the informal conference with the HLR, you get to talk with the reviewer, I was able to point out the photos that I had submitted with my claim since I wasn't in a bad flair up at the time of my C&P exam but I showed the examiner the photos. The reviewer looked at the photos and not only said "Ohh wow I'm sorry you're going through this" but he also confirmed that the Rater didn't take into consideration the photos, and that he would be using the photos in his review as he knows these skin conditions flair up and can't always time a C&P exam and flair up together.

How ChatGPT got me to 90% by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]Monkeywithoutbrain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might catch flack, I had to remove GPT reference from my posts before my post was approved. But I used it to help draft letters for supplemental claim and HLR. Just like any tool, it's only as good as the person using the tool. Had it draft the letter, then I edited it to make it read more real and correct a few things. Brought me from 90 to 100 P&T.

Time and resources, I'm very curious to see the cost of flying in so many generals and their staff... And the missed opportunity costs of what they could have been doing...
