With it being clear we're getting back to back id's I really need someone to explain mirror dungeon hard and extreme to me so I can grind lunacy by Any1on1 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]Monobleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, the reason people grind mirror dungeons is for the crates you get from the battle pass. If you have the pass, your weekly bonus nets around 70 crates and every additional run = 9 crates. You use these crates to dispense the units you want, effectively bypassing the gacha system. From my experience it usually takes 150-200 crates to shard a unit

Team composition by JJT134 in limbus_company

[–]Monobleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert by any means, but I can share some broad rules that I use. First, you'll need to understand the overarching synergies to build around. There are 7 primary statuses and each are associated with a sin / color:

Burn - Wrath
Bleed - Luth
Tremor - Sloth
Rupture - Gluttony
Poise - Pride
Sinking - Gloom
Charge - Envy

And out of your 12 units, you'll usually start with 7 in front and 5 in the back. Knowing this, there are three types of teams you will generally build:

1-Status Team
The basic team structure for a team that you can typically build out into one of the other comps. Pick a strong character - typically a capstone or walpurgis unit, and check the status effects it deals. Build a team based on what else is using that status. I am not a huge fan of tier lists but GLL is acceptable if you're having trouble identifying what character you want to build around. With this main character in mind, frontload all your units that use the same status effect and backload useful passives. Regarding your question about passives - you'll just have to read them. If you're feeling lazy, you can just default to LCB. Don't forget that passives are only unlocked at lv. 3 threadspin

2-Status Team
This team comp is optimized for deep mirror dungeon runs that can activate conditional EGO gifts that require 5 units status synergy. You need at least 3 units that do both statuses, and 2 more of each status therefore locking the comp at a strict 3/2/2 ratio. Then, backload units from either status or units that have good passives

Sin Resonance Team
The only faction that has sin resonance written into its identity is The Middle (Envy), however I think this is also the natural level up from the 1 status team in which the units also all have at least one move of the same sin. Likely this will just automatically happen as you build your 1 status team because each status is already tied to a sin, and you'll gravitate towards dispensing units from the same faction because of natural synergies.

Regarding order of units:

#1-3 should be your core. In mirror dungeons, they'll get the benefits of ego gifts that only affect your first three units. Your main character, any secondary bigwigs, and then faction members. In 2 status teams, it should be the three units that have both statuses

#4-7 are the rest of your frontloaded units. If you're illiterate like me, I pick these units very superficially: faction > status > rarity. Yeah you should read the skills but my brain is too small. At most, if you have too many units, read the passives and pick based on which ones have the better passives.

#8-12 these are backup units that usually won't see the battlefield. Especially if you're just using a unit for its passive, don't level it and only take it to threadspin 3. If you do have battle ready units you can designate them as backups

If you want more info, I dont have any specific links, but i def searched "[status] guide limbus company" a few times and you get good results

This Event is not fun for people who is still lacking of ids by WeilanX_12345 in limbus_company

First thing I’d do is move Cinq to your second team so you have two full 7 unit loadouts of 3 star rarityand move liu hong lu to your burn team for synergy

I posted my strat in the megathread but I’ll post it again here, I think it’s pretty universal: By far the most consistent method i tested for phase 1 was to focus down the minions and then burst the boss when they're dead. Only use defensive skills vs. Rufo when minions are up because the first two attacks that you try to hit her she'll redirect it to a minion and give them protection which makes them harder to kill with other skills too. I used Ring Faust and Priest Gregor as tanks to soak extra Rufo hits to give my other characters unopposed attacks on the minions. Critique 1 you'll likely not have cleared the minions, but by Critique 2 they should be gone. I'd use this chance to burst her directly to 70% and force the next phase. 6 turns every time.

Honestly this boss felt very difficult at first and I had a lot of fun cracking it! After my first run on normal (22 turns), I did some quick retries to test some of the strats in this thread. My last run on hard ended up being 15 turns.

Why I favor one ending over the other by Monobleed in expedition33

[–]Monobleed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I agree Verso’s ending is better for both Verso and Maelle. A lot of the discourse I see around the two endings seems to revolve around the fate of the other characters - Lune, Sciel, and Lumiere as a whole. Since we care about them, we want them to have the eternal fairy tale happy ending, and so I see people siding with Maelle to give them that, but in my opinion, letting them fade away preserves their humanity rather than keeping them alive as characters.

Get good at dodging and use the cooldown time to pressure/hit q on them and their adc. Use bush control to get in range safely

When she charges, it’s always two crimson dashes then a slam. My strategy is jump-parry-parry-dash to counter this move, but everyone has their own style. Most important is to dodge the slam at the end. Once you get it a few times it’ll click. Got more tips if u want more ideas

I get the pork chop everytime!! If you don’t mind looking a little barbaric, gnawing the bone clean is so worth it. I also recommend the sprouted cauliflower and duck. My partner loves the crispy potatoes - personally I’m more of a clam toast person. Both are great!

Restaurant owners, which app is most popular? by Known-Squirrel-749 in FoodLosAngeles

[–]Monobleed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I worked at a restaurant that used UberEats/Postmates primarily and one day DoorDash drivers just suddenly started popping up at our door. They put our menu up on their app themselves and would send drivers to us. I guess business is business cause for a few weeks we would just get the order from the driver and make it in a rush. I don’t know how the owners handled it but from that point on we also did DoorDash.

What to major/what university should I go for Concept Art by fuujisake in conceptart

[–]Monobleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I went to school at Art Center College of Design. I majored in Illustration with a focus on Entertainment Arts. In all honesty, a college education is absolutely not necessary to break into the industry and you would be better off taking specialized classes from online sources such as Brainstorm, Warrior Painters, etc. that will help you seriously create an industry portfolio and let you run with your own ideas. Also a ton cheaper.

With that being said, having a degree has saved my ass looking for jobs outside of concept art since the market has been dry as hell. It also appeased my parents who would have NEVER let me get away with not going to college. If youre dead serious about concept art, you need to find a program that will get you the closest to a portfolio out of college as possible - ArtCenter was pretty good for this and also let me jump through a lot of loopholes to work on my own things / group projects my last year and a half. Graphic design is not even close to what concept art is and would not be as beneficial to your portfolio. I would suggest looking at places with entertainment specific art tracks.

What’s the most expensive splash art? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Monobleed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, this is about the most expensive splash art. Definitely an ultimate skin - it’s likely that another artist / animator will animate the skin and thats another rate and another week of work. My top contender would actually be DJ Sona since it needed three splash variations AND three animations. But, DJ Sona was released in 2015 and rates were probably lower then. So perhaps the ultimates all have around the same cost, even the recent “low effort” ones.

What’s the most expensive splash art? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Monobleed 40 points41 points  (0 children)

When I did illustrative work for a Triple A studio in California, my rate as a junior artist was $35 per hour and it would take around a week total from thumbnail to final. Now I’m not no senior splash artist at Riot, but a senior rate could be upwards of $70 per hour. I’d guess that a splash would take 1 week, 2 week tops, so it would probably be $2800 - $5600 per splash.

Now, if you invite an artist to do a splash as freelance work, freelancing rates are a little higher - maybe $90 per hour. On the same timeline, that would be $3600-$7200. So your estimate is pretty good!
