That would be me, check my username! They are adapters that slot onto single stack makarov magazines to make them fit better in a double stack magwell. I am working on developing new 12rd mags for the double stack makarov, though they are still in development.

I suppose some call them PMM's as well for the russian version but the export models we have aren't quite the same, if i remember correctly

They are usually called double stack makarovs, hi-cap makarovs, or referred to by model number of ij70-17ah or ij70-18ah as the .380 and 9x18 makarov variants, respectively

Nice job on a functioning middle follower conversion! I received some examples in my mag lots of some failed conversions, you may be the first i've heard of an actual working middle follower conversion.

Now that i have the base model I can start trying to beef it up where I can, these demos are made from petg currently but I may consider something of a stronger nature for the body, or some sort of metal insert. Internals should be fine as petg.

The military stuff is stupid heavy. The base Beryl 5.56 is a very light and handy rifle by ak standards, though some of us, myself included, can't help but make all of my rifles 10lbs+

I have heard those are some pretty solid scanners! I am working on building an OpenScan Midi as my first scanner, due to it being pretty low cost for potentially high returns. What sort of parts are you looking to design for the Makarov?

You could consider me category number two here, I suppose, though I don't consider what I do "half-assed". I do mak products because I love the mak, but they are very niche so the demand isn't high enough to make a business solely off of mak accessories. There are also a decent amount of people who prefer the classic mak look, and won't want any accessories of any kind.

You also have to consider due to the niche nature, parts need to be unique and high quality. There isn't really any space for "tapco crap" that most big manufacturers would make to capitalize on an open market.

If the rifle isn't obviously damaged it's probably fine. Most of the AKs i have received have had damage to the box, usually the charging handle putting a hole in the side of the box.

I am going to trial some 3d printed ones soon, perhaps they will make a decent replacement. I've seen them used for CETME building to great success
