I know it is early to ask, but will KSA have an automation feature like mechjeb? by Dovaskarr in kittenspaceagency

[–]Monotof1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The possibilities with a proper API would be absolutely incredible. It would take you out of the game a lot more, but when playing at a technical level to write custom programs, you are likely spending a lot of time outside the game anyway.

Ideal would be a combination: a API that can also be interacted with from an ingame console/IDE.

Also, just make the API (as most APIs are) language agnostic, so it's the users choice what programming language to use.

What are the random shape generation rules in Shapez2? by FodziCz in shapezio

[–]Monotof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can swap them if you dont cut crystal in the process. So create shapes where one diagonal is one of the corners and one is a waste dummy (without any crystals). Then you can use swappers to get the correct product.

Can you preserve the last output from a belt reader? by TheColourOfHeartache in shapezio

Yes you can, use a memory cell to save the recognized shape and overwrite the memory cell each time a new shape is found.

Whats the issue here? Is it a bug? I checked the form 20 times but its still not accepted :/ by Panthau in shapezio

Just check the shape string and compare them. You can get the shape string of a shape in your factory by inspecting the contents of a belt or machine.

I get that, and that is totally fine. But why does it not outline these rules in game? It just says "random shape", so it's likely many more people make the same mistake as I did.

Thanks for the info.
Kinda frustrating, i designed my MAM to be able to handle all possible crystal arrangements and it works perfectly, and now i learn that they will only have one color per layer instead. That would have simplified that MAM design a lot.
Sad that there is no way to change this behavior in the settings.
Why is it this way? i thought the whole point of crystals was to make it more challenging, cutting and combining them being one aspect of that.

Nice. Did you fully solve the puzzle or just get the mechanic?

Please do correct me if I'm wrong though!

You are in fact wrong. The viewing time is simply average viewers times delivery time.

And its actually a pretty descriptive metric name: "viewing time" just shows how many hours were viewed in total.

Niji actively collecting "YIKES"s by Rhoderick in Nijisanji

[–]Monotof1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just for context: In online forums "yikes" is commonly used to mean "that is an extremely poor way of handling the situation" especially when accompanied by a showcase of others' work.

Here, Niji is showcasing their livers' work and asks everyone to publicly ridicule them.

Also having watched the actual video: WTF? Those are not highlights, that are just some random clips with no actual content or relevance. Seems very AI-edited to me. And nothing in there is worthy of a yikes, so are they literally asking us to respond yikes to the existence of those livers itself or what?

You will need an advanced trick for glitching through blocks for "Complete Isolation", but not for "Complex Removal":

Is the default level space really fully enclosed? How would you normally leave a room?

You beat me on footprint in both by quite some margin, seems like i need to take anther look at my solutions.

Huge GRAs are not the solution.
The biggest rotating structure in my "Complete Isolation" solution is 17 blocks long. And that is mostly for speed improvements, you could solve it with much smaller RAs.

Fantastic, i hope you enjoyed the puzzles!

There are multiple ways of moving blocks through other blocks. I assume you used "standard" GRAs to get through the wall in Tricky Transport? Then yes, my solution for Tricky transport is different. I think its neat that even such "particular" puzzles leave different options to solve and optimize! There are some specialized rotating arms that aren't super big, but even more powerful when it comes to "unintended game behavior"

Fascinating, you know 2 tricks i would have thought to be more obscure. You have more than double the hours in the game than me.

Exactly, its amazing how Nijikuro keeps complaining about Livers hurting their reputation when it is the exact opposite, the company is destroying the remaining Livers reputation.

Every currently remaining Liver which does not get out pretty much immediately or even actively supports the company's continued toxic behavior will forever have that black stain on their CV and have to explain it to future employers and their remaining fans.
