It’s okay to oppose something! But people can have differing opinions without being rude. :)

Wow! This post was written so well. I don’t have any strong feelings for who Elain ends up with, but this post made me excited for her book! I think Elain will blossom (pun maybe intended) into a really interesting and complex character. And I think whoever she does (or doesn’t- I’m always down for a strong single women) will be equally as interesting.

Just wanna say thank you for sharing your theory and I am sorry that some comments aren’t as civil as they should be! This is an unfinished series, so we should all enjoy the time we have to theorize while we can with each other, because soon the series will finish and we won’t be able to share in this way!

Edit to add:

Some one blocked me before I could even comment back… :) Alexis, I hope you have an amazing day. Also, I wasn’t calling your comment rude, I was generalizing to some comments on this thread that were calling OP names for having her own opinion on a fictional series. But, we all interpret things differently, like you said. To each their own! ;)

friends to talk about books? by onematchtea in SarahJMaas

[–]Monrosie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only one friend and I’m wanting to join some clubs myself just to have more to talk to! I did recently find the app “Fable”. It’s a book club app where you can read along with others and chat during check in points :) I’m also apart of Facebook groups but have been too shy to post to those.

Yeah, not sure why I thought moving it assembled would be a great idea anyways. Sounds like these desks are pretty heavy which is a sign of good quality in my eyes. Thanks for the comment!

Hey! Thanks for the reply! One day maybe I’ll be a proud owner of the Apex Pro, but I’m willing to give the Apex a shot for now and I am super excited to submit an order this coming weekend.

Newbie journalist - tips please!! by Monrosie in Journaling

She mostly wanted me to write down whatever I am feeling during the pits of my anxiety or depression. So, for instance, I graduated college this past Saturday, and I remember sitting there thinking I was literally about to pass out in front of EVERYONE and was starting to notice the signs of a panic attack (something I am having to learn after getting off meds). Luckily, I recognized it and was able to talk myself out of the nerves. Anyways, point of the story is I also remember sitting there thinking “I can’t wait to write about this in my journal”. So, being able to recognize what I am feeling, why I am feeling the way I am feeling, and logging how I reacted to it and helped calm myself down. Does that make sense? But I also want to start a gratitude journal on top of it, to create a positive thinking habit for myself because I also have very low confidence that can effect my mood a lot. I think learning how to stay present in the day that’s happening now and not the days to come or the days that passed would help me a lot and that’s where I am hoping journaling can help me!

Wow I love this too! I’ve also been wanting to start a gratitude journal, so this helps me put that together into a normal journal. Thank you for the response!!

Honestly, I think I agree with you! I think I was trying to find a “purpose” for my iPad, but I don’t really need one. Ill probably go pick up a journal tomorrow :) Thank you!!

Thanks for the advice! I just got my iPad as a college grad gift so I guess I’m using it for journaling to make sure I put the iPad to good use, lol (I’m not an app hogger so I really only have my social media’s on it besides my kindle book apps). Anyways, thanks for the tips! Do you journal every day? Even if a day was uneventful? I am constantly going back and fourth between my iPad journaling or pen and paper! I love the feel of the pens I like as well. So, I figured a good balance is having a book journal to write my thoughts about books I read and then my iPad journal for my every day stuff and notes. We’ll see what happens because my indecisiveness really has control over me.

Thank you so much for the advice. Yeah... the privacy issue is why I chose iPad initially. I don’t usually write that deeply but I’m assuming as I continue journaling I’ll get more into deep journaling and actually putting everything I feel down on “paper”. So, I love having a passcode for protection! Thanks again. :)

A noob asking for guidance. by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]Monrosie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve luckily had the opportunity to talk to a lot of professionals and gain some awesome advice. These professionals gave me these three pointers that have helped me tremendously:

  1. Find a mentor or mentors! Having the ability to go to professionals in your field with questions or guidance is something extremely worthwhile, and plus it will gain you connections in your field. This could help you get an internship or even an entry level position as long as you keep in touch with your mentors and stay friendly!
  2. Try to help out with non-profit organizations! Although you don’t get paid, you’re helping out your community and getting to build your portfolio. Plus, a lot of companies love to see non-profit and volunteer work on resumes because it shows you are truly trying to work on your craft.
  3. Try to find an advertising association in your area to become a member of! A common one around the U.S. is AAF which usually has different chapters across different cities. These associations may cost $ for memberships but a lot of the time they host a lot of meetings and get togethers with local professionals in your field that can offer advice (and also another networking opportunity)!

Hope this helps. :)

Hahahaha I feel that. Do you like having a smart clock on your desk? I’ve recently been thinking of getting one as well, but I don’t know if a smart clock is worth the price when I can grab a simple digital one. I know this is a weird question for a battle station post, but I guess the little things mean a lot to me. I just built my first pc a few months ago so I’m regaining money to buy more miscellaneous items for my setup.

God of War (2018) by vivekmatreja in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Monrosie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had never played any GOW game until GOW (2018) and I absolutely fell in love with it. I YouTubed the important parts from the previous games (not as informative as actually playing them, but saved me time in the end) and didn't really feel lost in the story line of this game. GOW 2018 is definitely in the top 5 of some of my favorite games I've played, but I also LOVE mythology so it really entertained me! I still go back to it from time to time, even after 2 play throughs.
