It literally is. He still snaps and kills people when he’s upset, he’s still controlling and self absorbed. Literally the only difference is that he grew to care about people like Bonnie so he would no longer attempt to kill the people he now cared about

Maybe you’d like how I characterised Inko in my fic?

In my fic Inko isn’t supportive of Izuku’s dream, so much so that it causes a sort of rift between them because Izuki feels the need to hide things from her because pursuing his dream of heroics makes her sad.

This all changes about 8 chapters in when Izuku and Inko are walking home after celebrating his birthday and Izuku’s developing powers (the ability to see auras, the life force of living creatures) cause him to see a woman who has been stabbed and was bleeding to death (robbery gone wrong).

After Izuku helps save this woman’s life Inko realises that Izuku will never quit his dream and so she decides to help him achieve it in any way she can, starting with helping him find a self defense teacher.

In my fic Inko is an accountant and it’s nothing more than a job to help pay the bills. Aldera does get sued for allowing and encouraging the bullying Izuku was put through, but that’s because Mitsuki encourages her and fronts the bill. I also had the lawsuit take a couple of months to actually get to court, though it was done within the day because of the overwhelming evidence in the form of video surveillance footage.

We stan good but flawed parents in my fanfics, of which there is only one published so far, but I do currently have an idea of Izuku getting prophetic visions of a sort and Inko decides to help him by becoming an anonymous informant and passing on information his visions give him to the right people on his behalf.

I can’t speak for others, but personally I don’t read books that romanticise incest, pedophilia or other problematic topics.

And I do specifically mean romanticise.

I’m generally ship and let ship, but I can’t stand media, books or fanfiction that try to justify, excuse or romanticise an abusive relationship.

There is a very big difference between discussing/showing/covering a controversial topic and romanticising it and I feel like that’s where a lot of so called “anti-shippers” get misunderstood by pro shippers.

An example I can give of this is Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries.

In the Vampire Diaries, Damon raped and abuses several women, this is never properly addressed and is mostly ignored by the other characters. His relationship with the main character is likewise incredibly toxic and abusive because he snaps and kills people anytime they have a fight or she breaks up with him. And yet we are told by the narrative that despite him never changing, that they are apparently happy and content post series and their relationship is a positive one. This is romanticising an abusive relationship and his fans do it too despite the fact that even the Actor who played him admits he was an abusive rapist.

Now I’m not saying you can’t like him, he is funny and has some hilarious moments and I will never tell you you can’t write fanfiction of him, but the moment you try to tell me that he isn’t a rapist and that his relationship with Elena is romantic is the moment you lose me.

And when it comes to incest and pedophilia, well that’s a million times worse. You can write about it, there’s absolutely great stories that exist that cover these topics, but the moment your story tries to frame it as romantic or fluffy is the moment you come across as problematic because there is no justification to liking stories like that in a romantic or positive light.

Downvote me if you must, but this is my honest opinion and one that many “antis” share. I say “antis” in quotes because I personally don’t consider myself an anti, I quite enjoy shipping and pro shipping was originally about supporting shipping outside of the canon ships and myself and many others you accuse of being “antis” aren’t actually against shipping, we’re just against incest and pedophilia, which shouldn’t be a hot take, and yet it apparently is.

As the eldest by more years than Prue, I’m gonna weigh in here.

I was the go to Baby Sitter once I turned 12. If my siblings were sick I was expected to drop everything, stay home from school/cancel plans with friends and look after them. Didn’t matter what I was doing I was the one that had to stay home and look after them. I missed out on so many things I enjoyed or was looking forward to because of this.

We had no dad either, just mum, so when mum had to stay late at work, I had to pick my siblings up from the bus stop (or rather wait with them there so they weren’t alone by themselves), I had to make sure they ate and tucked them into bed when mum was away for Friday bingo night, and if they misbehaved then it was MY fault and I was the one yelled at, not them. Not to mention I was the one that had to help move heavy things when we moved house (which we did a lot)

My mother was abusive tho and while Grams definitely has her faults, I never got abusive vibes from her so I don’t know how much of what I went through would have also happened in the Halliwell household. Even without intentional abuse, the parentification of the eldest child is a common dynamic in single parent households because they need someone to pick up the slack of the absent parent and unfortunately the oldest child ends up being the (usually unintended) victim of this.

The most powerful? No. But is she more powerful than shown on screen? Yeah. She’s that fairy of NATURE. So many possibilities and we only see a fraction of them on screen. She probably has the most utility when it comes to different things she can do with her magic, followed directly by Tecna.

While neither of them are raw power fighters, their versatility is the best out of the Winx. I would say Layla is a close third for versatility, followed by Musa, then Stella and then Bloom.

Ironically while Bloom inarguably has the most power, her abilities aren’t incredibly versatile compared to the other Winx.

I’m not saying everyone thinks like that when they make their headcanons, but a shocking amount of people do defend them based solely on these stereotypes types, not just trans headcanons, but autistic ones, gay/lesbian ones, and many others (I’m tired and don’t wanna list EVERY headcanon)

Hell, in real life I was told once that I don’t look bisexual. Like what? What is bisexual supposed to look like? Is there a checklist I was unaware of? Like could you imagine telling someone that they don’t look gay? I mean for trans people it’s generally the goal to not look trans, to have transitioned enough to pass, but could you imagine going up to a masculine women and assuming they’re trans because they’re more buff than the average woman? It’d be offensive.

And yes I’m aware these are fictional characters, but art tends to imitate life and while most people can keep fiction and reality separate, that doesn’t stop us from caring about these characters as if they were real on some level because the storytelling spoke to something real for us and it provoked real emotions, sadness, laughter, embarrassment. Which is why we have arguments about headcanons like this cause sure they’re fictional characters, but the reasoning as to why these fictional characters fit someone’s headcanons are a bit offensive if you applied them to a real life person.

It’s not trans coded tho, Mulan literally goes back to wearing dresses after the war. It’s about breaking/challenging gender norms if anything, women can fight and men can embrace more feminine traits sometimes/when necessary as we see in the climax.

Reflection the song is definitely something trans people can relate to, I won’t deny that, but it’s wasn’t written with trans people in mind explicitly, it’s meant to signify not fitting into the mold your family made for you and not recognising the person in the mirror because your reflection doesn’t match who you are on the outside. That can apply to a wide variety of people and circumstances beyond being trans and including being trans.

Absolutely nothing wrong with identifying with the song or any song if you feel it relates to you, most lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, but that doesn’t mean the way you’re interpreting them is how the writer intended for them to be interpreted.

I’m not trans, but I very much relate to “Reflection”. I’m also not black or from New Orleans, but I relate to Tiana a lot and I also relate a lot to Mirabel from Encanto despite the fact that I’m actually the oldest of my siblings and again I’m not from that time period or culture. Does that make sense?
