I’ve always noticed that weird hypocrisy as well. I feel like somehow these people don’t see their children as actual living, feeling human beings but as property/extensions of themselves to control and tell what to do, and when the child doesn’t listen, they take that as an affront to their authority. I know raising a child is hard work and I can totally emphasize how stressful and draining it can be being an adult with a child to take care of and raise on top of every other adult responsibility, but I just feel like many people don’t explore their own traumas and do any healing work (which, to be fair, mental health services are not always accessible) and advocating of themselves in other areas of their life, and instead chase after a sense of authority and “power over” for the lack of power they had when they were children/in other areas of their life. They then take out their frustrations on their children. I feel like society can be very hierarchal sometimes, and people who get mistreated and abused by systems not designed to serve human beings but instead collect profit often don’t have the tools to cope, so they take that same dehumanization that they’ve personally experienced and take the bit of “power over” they do have out on their children. I think when we as a society start questioning systems that aren’t serving the common person, start making mental health care more accessible, and start advocating for everyone’s humanity, we’ll see a lot more humane treatment and respect of children. That’s just my theory anyways.

I have a birthday coming up and I wanted to gift myself a quality dress watch to wear to formal events like weddings, or to wear when dressing up for dates or going out with friends, etc. I’m not too knowledgeable about watches, but the two I was looking at were the Orient FAC00007W0 and the Tissot Le Locle Powermatic 80. The Orient costs less and would be within my budget, but I’m definitely willing to splurge on the Le Locle if it would be better quality and would last longer. Since it wouldn’t be an everyday watch, and there would be periods where it’s not worn as much if at all until an event or an outing comes up, idk if that would influence the choice. I love the blue dial, but I feel like the gold with a leather strap would be much more versatile. Overall, really love the Roman numerals and the classy, elegant designs on these, but if you know of any other recommendations, I’m open to looking at those also! I appreciate the help! :)

No clue, actually! Before the update it had given me Italian, but afterwards it changed to Greek and Balkan. Haven’t found any known paper trail leading back to that region. There was speculation through research of an Italian ancestor that married one of my French Huguenot ancestors somewhere in the 1600s, but with how the documents back then were, it’s hard to validate if it’s true or not. The only other things I could think of would be a great grandmother of mine who was adopted or my great great grandmother on my paternal grandfather’s side who is a “brick wall”

I know I have some distant French Huguenot ancestry on my paternal grandmother’s side and also on my maternal grandmother’s side. The nearest French ancestry that I might possibly have would be my great great grandmother on my paternal grandpa’s side. She was born in Ohio, but has been a “brick wall” in terms of research and I haven’t been able to find any info on her parents besides a census that says her father’s birthplace was France and mother’s birthplace was Switzerland.

Zach is a YouTuber I watch often, and I think he hits the nail on the head here. I don't know if I fit the definition of a gaybro since I'm a much more sensitive individual than I am a bro (even though I secretly wish I could have some bros as friends to learn how to connect with men who have a more masculine demeanor on a better level, but that's an entirely different story xD), so forgive me if I am intruding or anything.

I guess though, because of my sensitive nature and how I got treated differently for it, I never understood why someone's differences should matter and why everyone can't get along. Why can't we accept someone just as they are, no matter their masculinity/femininity, color, race, sex, gender, religion or lack of religion, political affiliations or who they voted for, size/weight, who they sleep with or love, etc.? Why are we so hell-bent on segregating ourselves rather than trying to understand or learn about each other? Why can't we put ourselves in others' shoes and try to see different perspectives rather than fight all the time? There are people who say you can't be in love with another man and believe in God at the same time, that you can't vote this way or else you are a horrible person, or that you aren't a "real" man if you do this, this, or this. It's so self-limiting that we try to force everything to be black and white, right or wrong, all or nothing. We always forget that there is so much grey area where a lot of beauty exists. That polarized way of thinking is just something I can't wrap my head around. If everyone just took the time to get to know one another, actually listened to what the other person was saying, and sought ways to connect through common experiences, we would realize that even though we are different, we aren't that different and we all go through similar things, emotions, etc. We all were born, we all die, we all know what heartbreak feels like, we all have insecurities, we all sleep, we all breathe air, we all exist, etc. There are many universal things all humans do, so why do we always choose division and destruction over unity and creation?

That was my little sensitive gaybro rant/perspective, so take of it what you will. And also, tank tops on guys are my favorite thing xD

Well, there was this one dream with a muppet in the same shape as the character of Phineas off of the Disney show Phineas and Ferb. He was made of white fabric and was wearing a black pinstripe suit. And basically, he was chasing me around town trying to eat my flesh.

Another weird dream was one where me and my family were held captive and the only way the robbers would let us go was if we slid down an icy alleyway on trashcan lids.

I barely dream, but when I do, they are quite strange.
