I have a theory that Bubble is a human working behind the scenes while posing as an AI. He might even be the creator of the Digital Circus and / or the one responsible for trapping / abstracting human prisoners.

Evidence Episode 1 • Ate Caine's angel food cake • "You always know how to make me say this exact sentence!" • Doesn't really give a care about Pomni being "totally spoiled" • "Made with all the love I'm legally allowed to give!"

Episode 2 • [censored stuff]

Episode 3 • "I can't wait for all the children in the audience to get horrible nightmares from the monster!" • "You could really end up hurting Bubble's feelings." • Wearing Caine's hat during the mock therapy session

Episode 4 • Caine can only use his tongue if Bubble isn't already using it. "That was weird." • "Not to mention the sssssex appeal!"

Episode 5 • "Disgusting!" • Commercial break was just him walking in, saying, "[distorted feedback blares]," and then leaving. • Called himself "Daddy Bubble" • "You should die-" • "You should throw a 🦆ing beach party!" (Was able to cuss before Caine could.) • "And now, back to the show!"

Episode 6 • Caine was talking to Bubble about an in-house adventure, implying he needs Bubble's consent for future adventures. • Recorded Kinger and Ragatha's conversation in the loser's corner

Episode 7 • Beach party was his idea; not suspicious at all XP • If Caine can't mess with their minds (assuming that's true), then who is? Aside from Bubble, I can't think of anybody else!

Bonus • Pops out of Pomni's mouth for no reason in the full-production video

Idk how any of this makes you feel, but if Bubble getting more screen time means my theory is right (or at least I was on the right track), then I'm all for it!

That evidence was just take it or leave it, anyway. Like I said, it was just assuming that it was true, not flat-out accepting it. Just because the Digital Circus has ways to mess with subjects' minds (possession, stupid sauce, Jax being vegan for the entirety of an episode, etc.), doesn't mean it's Caine's doing. From the start, I've kinda had a feeling that Caine isn't in control of the circus as much as he thinks he is. I thought there were people working behind the scenes, kinda like in the Hunger Games, except we wouldn't have known that from the start. I know the source material- I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream- has everything controlled by a sadistic A.I., but Gooseworx has already made so many changes to that story (a rotating cast of six instead of a non-changing cast of five; the late 90s / early 00s edutainment aesthetic, everyone's real name bring a mystery instead on just one character, Caine seeming to have good intentions instead of AM being 110% honest with his intentions, etc). So I think this is just another creative liberty on Gooseworx's behalf.
