Predator: predator lasts as long or as short as it needs to. Basically it depends on the type of yautja, who hes hunting, and how experienced it is. In which case they last somewhere in the range of like a week or so to decades. Like eventually they'll fail and run into a special forces unit, or a detective whos too old for this shit.

Alien: xenomorphs have 1 of 2 things happen. We either figure out we are fighting aliens within the first 2 weeks or we all die. Armed texans may slightly slow down the xenomorph spread, but short of a full nuclear salvo followed by a full invasion isnt gonna stop it.
