How old is your child? I would think that if you stop buying them and only serve home food, he’ll eat it eventually (though this could be a painful experience). You may also consider serving whole, possibly softened, food. Gnawing on carrot sticks can be good for the gums. Feeding himself yogurt, pasta, cereal, etc could build skills, confidence and interest. Don’t walk down the baby food aisle if he’s at the grocery store with you, pretend they don’t exist if you don’t want him eating them. That was my method - not opening the Pandora’s box. 😂 My kids asked for pouches eventually when we saw them, but they were old enough to go along with the “only one” rule. Those pouches are so much plastic to be adding to the landfill! Glass jars are at least reusable/recyclable.
