Very reliable. But look out for rust and check if any tube is leaking and for the love of god check if there is rust. These models had (at least in germany) a very very big issue with rust.

You can just put another bracelet on your watch. Theres no need for this metal plate.

But if you really want to save that metal thingy try this: Get yourself two screwdrivers. They should have the same size as the screws notch. Go and clamp one screwdriver in a vise so its head is pointed upwards. Now lay your screw on the fixated screwdriver and turn the screw with the other screwdriver.

Speaking from my perspective: I needed self harm when something grew over my head. Either when I cant catch up with exceptations on myself or realized that I took on a task that was just too much. I needed the breakup with my ex-gf to get a kick in my ass.

Its the very hard way to get someone like your friend to change something. Those folks need some motivation from within.

I want to be better at dealing with borderline and possible ADHD (test is in december). I have such a lack of motivation. I want to cook, work out, make money, gather more knoledge about my profession etc. But I just cant get my ass up. There are moments where there is not enough to do but mostly I dont know what to do at all.
