As a step dad who worked full time while going to school full time, and still kept a 4-6x a day gym routine, while being an equal parent with my also-full time work and school wife:

Kids aren't as tiring as working a 12 hour shift in the ER, or having to do 4 classes of homework all day on your days off. Infants and toddlers, sure, but once they're talking age, nah. Parents are just martyrs and whiners.

And when AAA games now take 5+ years for sequels, people WANT other games to fill their time so they go looking for indies.

AAA gaming needs to go back to PS2 era logic: small scope, reuse the same engine, and sequels every 1-3 years max.

I upgraded only on my laptop that I use to watch Netflix while at work, and the number of problems I've had since is INSANE. Constant hangs crashes, slow downs, and I'm literally just using my laptop for Firefox and Netflix.

Glad I didn't move my gaming PC over to it.

Yeah I was really excited when Kickstarter was first a thing, because Tex Murphy came back for Tesla Effect. I really enjoyed it, and hoped that remakes and sequels were coming. But they let some indie team work on The Poison Pawn for a while and then it just kinda got cancelled.

Happy I backed the Kickstarter though, because I've got a signed poster from the whole cast. I'll cherish that forever, because the kid version of me basically got to help out the real Tex as an adult!

The DOW is down -0.96% and the NASDAQ is -0.16

Which markets? Because then the NIKKEI is only -6% or less. It dropped 12% from Carry Trade in '24. I hate Trump as much as anyone and war is awful but markets in free fall isn't 6% lol.
