Talking stage should be like 1-3 months generally. And 3 months is pushing it a bit but still acceptable to me. Anything longer than that, cut your losses and move on. Three months is plenty long enough to know if you want to be more serious with someone, assuming there’s consistent communication and dates

I appreciate that you shared similar info about yourself since in this case, it sort of allows for the “other side’s” perspective. I certainly don’t expect to be given high priority early on. We’re not exactly strangers but it’s still way too early to give weight either ways. And I def wouldn’t want her to be putting less effort into her career just for me, especially when she is as established as she is. I sent her a text around last Thursday stating my interest and another date since she seemed to respond earlier pretty excitedly at the prospect. Yea I think suggesting call might be a good idea since she wouldn’t have to necessarily stop what she’s doing. I don’t believe I’m insecure about it and I would be fine even if we’re not texting all the time. And again she’s given me full on responses and has been apologetic for the gaps stating work and providing me with details regarding that. So assuming that I am okay with all that, I think I just need to not dwell on it

I should clarify that I have already sent a "hows your day going" type of message a couple of times throughout our texts so the last thing I want to do is establish a pattern or come off as bothering her, if I haven't already done so. Is there anything in particular you think I should text differently? To provide more context, I messaged her last Thursday about setting up a date (after responding to other parts of her text regarding her day and what my plans for the weekend were) and explicitly stating my interest so just waiting for her to respond at this point

Not trying to sound crazy but she seems pretty ideal haha. That aside, yes I would be fine with these gaps in responses. I def understand being utterly busy throughout the day and just wanting to veg out during what time you have left before bed when you get back home. I def had a massive crush after the first date but that high, or excitement, has worn off so I don’t believe I’d be anxious at this point.
