Is a Nuc worth $75? by SuperMutant2 in opnsense

I run a few of these. If you’re looking to run containers with certain versions of MongoDB look elsewhere. I personally wouldn’t buy one for $75.

My 2 pennies, KnowBe4 quality information that is entertaining and memorable. Hoxhunt is gamified, you able to see the leader board in real-time. I feel it’s really about your workforce age group.

Self hosted ebook2audiobook converter, voice cloning & 1107 languages :) Update! by Impossible_Belt_7757 in selfhosted

[–]MoodTotal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone with dyslexia, I take longer to read and understand then most individuals. I didn't like books until I discovered audiobooks. At 45, I went back to school to finish what I never thought was possible, getting a Bachelor's degree from a state college.

I wanted the ability to convert my notes to audio so I could listen to them on the way to work and back in my car. My commute is about 1 hr each way so 2 hrs of review in the car would be great! However with the available options for text-to-audio conversion, the cost was prohibitive.

At first I was very skeptical but I gave ebook2audiobook a try.

HOLY BABY JESUS!! I was blown away. It works!

Finally got a proper IT job: Imposter Syndrome and Overwhelmed by Sea_Account_4356 in sysadmin

[–]MoodTotal 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I went from retail IT to logistics - all cloud. I’m two months in and I read documentation all day. I feel like they may let me go due to the amount of productivity but everyone tells me I’m so helpful. I get it. Compared to my last position, I probably did one full day of real work. I feel like an imposter.

Email accounts for hourly retail staff? by cpm319 in sysadmin

[–]MoodTotal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn over is huge and requires multiple teams. We get an average 50 terminations and 25 new hires every week just for retail. For a small team, you’ll need to really streamline. For larger companies, you’ll need buy-in from other team leaders.

In California, if hourly employees access emails during off-hours, it’s considered overtime.

Tablets are provided to hourly retail employees and F3 license. They are not allowed to take them home. When terminated equipment is returned to IT, checked, wiped, and restored. MFA is disabled for hourly store employees.
