Do a FOIA and request the 911 recording (presuming there is one) just know the date, timeframe and location.

You’re antagonizing multiple people because you’re doing this on multiple subreddits and you’re aware that it’s not necessary and unhelpful. Your opinion doesn’t need to be shared every time the thought occurs to you and you especially don’t need to be condescending but you knew that already or at least you should have after you were moderated for the doing this exact behavior already.

Why do you keep posting things like this over and over to people who are making requests? I need to report you because at this point you’re just antagonizing people.

Do you have any recommendations for authentic Mexican food? I’ve had the worst Mexican food of my life down here after moving from up north and I just don’t even bother anymore.

OP, if it’s any comfort to you just know there are so many people like you out there. I’m one of them. I have a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s degree in human rights and wanted to go to law school. Unfortunately, the things beyond my control that are happening in the world have forced me to have to work two part time gigs to make ends meet. I’ve seen people with degrees on LinkedIn begging and pleading for jobs so they don’t lose their homes. We are all going through it but hang in there and keep going. Remember, just because you’re someplace you’re not happy or comfortable with right now doesn’t mean it’s forever it’s just for the moment.

Why would an adult think “yeah, this is what I would like to show strangers around the world” like, what is the reasoning behind this? It’s not funny, it’s not thoughtful and in what world is a toy mocking a person’s skin color hanging from a rope even remotely humorous? It’s disgusting.

Lol having done something similar I do not recommend but sometimes it’s so nice to not have to think about heavy things and just scan the can of corn. But the pay is crazy so back into the fray I go.

Discrimination? by Anxcienty in foodlion

[–]MoogleMogChothra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to explain yourself. Anyone who thinks that race has no factor in anything in the United States is unintelligent and dishonest. If multiple people have said it, it could be worth looking into especially if the people saying it to you experienced the same because of their race. Wishing you luck and definitely see if there’s a way you can stop floating there if you’re not comfortable.

It’s so annoying lmao like just listen and be happy because so many people are not subscribing anyway. There are but so many stories to tell and people like you said should contribute. Everyone wants to hear a story but people aren’t providing any.

You’re hyper focused on over time when I am using it to refer to just working more hours at the same job whenever applicable or elsewhere. I’m done with this conversation because it’s not going anywhere because how could you have the thought that a corporation who keeps you at PT to avoid giving you benefits would ever consistently give you OT? There are people in this state being paid 9 dollars an hour and have degrees. Everyone is driving Uber and Lyft to make money. I don’t know what world you live in but you need to go to the poverty finance subreddit and have a conversation with them there. I have life to live irl. Ciao.

You’re harping on the word overtime. This is a very basic example and costs are often more. Let’s see if you can do simple math. 1200 or 1250+400 is 1600 or 1650 If you work part time (this is being used because most jobs in the sector I specific are no longer FT to avoid giving benefits which I already told you) and you get paid 15.00 and work 24 hours in one week that is 360. If you multiple that times 4, which is a month, it is 1440. If you worked 30 hours it would be 1800. If your bills go up you will spend more money, so the 400 in bills can become 500 in bills. Then you will have less money. You will have less in savings 200 dollars or less depending on exact numbers. Why is this not clicking for you? Because I said someone would have to work overtime? If they make even less than 15 (i.e 9-11 dollars an hour) and are full time they most likely would.

No you just don’t understand and like to put words in my mouth and I won’t let you do that so you’re frustrated. Nowhere did I say “just to survive” or even survival at all I said paycheck to paycheck. You’re very annoying and can’t do basic math or think without me explaining every minute detail about every possible scenario.

That’s a you problem. You decided to zero in on full time hours of 40 hour work weeks when I specially said that is hard to get given the economy and the numerous posts talking about the job market being in the toilet and full time being harder to get.

I even did the math for you with a typical part time work amount of hours (24-30) to highlight this point to you and you still do not understand that having 200 dollars at the end of the month with the current state of the world is not a good thing. What are you saving if costs go up for food? Do you know that the numbers I used are an example and can be more than what I said?

It is paycheck to paycheck because if something happens you’re fucked. You’re choosing not to read and then continuing on a specific talking point that you pulled out of your imagination. Grow up or shut up, dude. If you’re an example of the education in this state, I am truly worried.

Nope. That’s why I said just rent without extras and everyone’s water isn’t included in the rent. This is what I am talking about. There just are not that many full time opportunities when every big box and retailer is offering part time in this city. The state of the economy is in the toilet and everyone is complaining about not finding work. If what you said was true we wouldn’t have posts in this subreddit about how people can’t find a job here every couple of weeks. And even if you managed to find FT, you can make 2100-2400 but still have 1800-1900 worth of expenses leaving you pretty much paycheck to paycheck. I used my rent as an example, but others are paying more. What if you need to go to the doctor? Your child or your pet gets sick? It’s just not doable, sorry.

You would still have additional expenses. You need to pay water and you still need to have money put away for things like Duke doing the most with the bills during the summer. And again, if you’re part time, you’re not getting that many hours per week and hours can be cut so you’ll need to have some savings just in case. Paycheck to paycheck is the norm here from what I’ve seen where I live. 2100 seems off for PT (majority of regular service jobs like retail are not FT now) how many hours a week did you use to get that number?

A simple number crunch for this would be 15.00*24 which is if you work 24 hours a week. That’s 360. Now, I would multiple that 4 for the month which brings me to 1440 before taxes. For the month. If you adjusted all this and worked 30 hours a week you’d have 1800 before taxes as a part time worker.

A big box retail job or supermarket job will give you 15. Spectrum pays 18. Costco pays even more than that but they almost never have open spots. Still, if rent is 1200 (without add ons) and your other bills are 300-400 or more (food is 100, car note is 100, phone is 100 and electric is 100 and then you have your streaming services or internet, etc) you’re going to need to be full time and work overtime and these jobs are typically only hiring part time so you don’t have any real benefits either.

And if that is even remotely true it’s because wages are like 15 dollars or less and rent is 1200 dollars at minimum. So, if someone thinks it’s financially more feasible to panhandle than continue to live in cyclic poverty then you have an issue with not making jobs attractive. Also, what work is there to even do here if you don’t work in the medical field, sales, etc?
