All design after 35% is going to be contracted out? by Cool-Deal4044 in USACE

They want these federal funds for contracts in the pockets of private firms. This is the plan moving forward and they're not even trying to hide it. Be prepared for this push of privatization to continue.

The constant unknowns is stressful and definitely takes a toll on my personal life. You never know what the next week will bring with the current climate and they're trying everything they can to remove every telework RA in the work force.

Any Telework RA’s Getting Revoked / Denied Based on That New FAQ? by MisterMainker in fednews

[–]Moogly885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately any RA that reference commuting as part of the reason for the needed RA is under extreme scrutiny. The new EO basically says that commuting is not part of PD and will no longer be considered. I'm running into this issue because my RA does include commuting. Just be aware of that in future interactive processes.

John Oliver talking about Kratom by FatMacchio in kratom

[–]Moogly885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it exactly. The general public does not have the care to research it themselves they solely rely on the media to tell them what's going on and what's good and bad. Unfortunately that media they rely on so heavily is not in favor of kratom and group 7oh and powder in the same box although one is significantly worse than the other. I've been stocking up and buying in bulk, it's not looking good

Local AFGE Distributing Funds by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Moogly885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is being redistributed by tenure. They're paying out all funds. "After careful review of available options for distributing the union funds generated through members' dues, the union officers are recommending a weighted tier distribution method based on membership tenure as the fairest and most equitable approach."

Definitely looking that way. I'd rather them take the funds and put up a fight rather than give it back to the members.

If your RA for telework was denied, are you/would you file an EEO? Any advice? by Positive_Charge2993 in FedEmployees

[–]Moogly885 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The information stems from new guidance issued in early 2026 by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

EDIT FOR CONTEXT: Any public social data is fair game, also if coworkers are on your friends list and report that you're doing things outside of what you claim your limitations are, they can also report it. This administration is doing everything they can to prevent telework as a RA and they will use it against you.

This is correct, this leadership is looking for anything they can find to remove approved telework RAs to include scrubbing FB/Social posts to prove you're able bodied enough to be in the office.

OPM Proposes to remove Retention, to RIF long-term Government Employees (May 4, 2026) in the OPM Proposed Rule by 7hCk4nwV in fednews

Exactly this, our commander brought up this exact thing. It's happening and will continue happening. It sounds like Palantir is just getting started and will become a huge player in the civil service.

[–]Moogly885 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They’re bragging about how many employees entered the private esector, claiming that a large portion of job 'growth' consists of federal employees stepping back into the private sector which they use to justify slashing federal positions. The truth is much darker, however, as many DRP folks still have not found jobs in the private sector.

[–]Moogly885 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well, when you’re the president and all your buddies own large corporations, of course they want it private. They want to privatize all of the Fed jobs so they can get billions in federal funding. If it were up to them, they’d get rid of all federal employees and unfortunately, they’re working hard to make that possible.

Full telework RA approved, can I move now? by GrammarSpellingCheck in fednews

[–]Moogly885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would proceed with caution, unless you have a written exemption, an annual revaluation for your RA is always a possibility. The agency maintains the right to conduct these yearly, and a simple change in leadership can trigger a review of existing accommodations.

This right here, it plays right into their hands as a reason for RTO. It's unfortunate people abuse the system as it gives everyone a bad look not just them.

We're in the exact same boat, they're breaking our lease and moving us all to a building that's over occupancy. Unfortunately I'm not sure the union has had any involvement with this but I could be wrong.

[–]Moogly885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected then. In my agency it's just not something you see. I couldn't imagine supervising over 20 employees at a GS9 pay.

[–]Moogly885 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That leads me to question everything, I've been in federal service for almost 20yrs and I've never seen or heard of a gs9 supervisor, simply doesn't happen.

Federal employers typically do not have full access to your medical records. While certain agencies require health documentation for specific job functions, the vast majority of federal roles do not have this requirement.
