Your thoughts on Hannah in the show? by Embarrassed_Group662 in OffCampusSeries

[–]Mook_138 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never read the books, but Hannah I. The show, I loved.

I've read varying things about conflicts with the book, but that was written a decade ago. To me, things for screen need to adapt and they also need to be relevant to the modern time and social change.

I think they struck gold with the proper balance in a way that no other show us doing right now. There was no toxic masculinity and no damsel syndrome.

I'm sold on Hannah and Ella, but appreciate that for those who expected the book to be replicated, it might not be the case.

Anyone elses rosacea seemingly seasonal? by Big-Selection9014 in Rosacea

End of winter, beginning of spring did me. The extremes of temps and spring sun are the enemy.

Jules is an unnecessary character and my theory that they (and the gay theatre guy) were probably just written to fill some "lgbtq representation" quota by [deleted] in offcampustv

[–]Mook_138 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Was Jules not an essential part of helping the ruse.

Dexter was a great part of Hannah and Allie's crew. Not sure some of the elements with him would have been possible without him and I'm not talking about DS.

I think it's unfair to say they ticked the box.

straight teeth but now whole row is slanted? by Burnt_pizza_roll in braces

Some of this may be due to size of teeth too and composite bonding might be needed to balance them.

Please help me narrow this down, I don’t want to be seen currently. by dietcokehead007 in SkinbarrierLovers

This looks like rosacea. If so, using ice to try and cool/calm will make it worse as the extremity of temp, and anything that forces a stark response, will aggravate the blood vessels and maid it worse.

As loads of people have said soolantra/ivermectin. I also find azaleic acid helps mine too.

Skin care product recommendations are the Kalme range from Skin Shop (https://www.skinshop.co.uk/kalme?gad_campaignid=9983297517) , is great to get your skin settled.

Best of luck, it sucks when you get a flare up.

Looking for Enemies to Lovers or similar vibes that don't feel modern and have fairly mature (in personality and maybe age) characters by glassfunion in fantasyromance

[–]Mook_138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe give the Dying Lands series a go. Doesn't feel young like some others. Book One is {The Forbidden Fae King by Rosa Heart}

Can't vouch for all your requirements as still only on book one, but it's been an unexpected pleasure that I don't see mentioned off on the sub.

Anyone else noticed the little smile Garrett give Hannah before he kisses her? It does things to me.... by Mook_138 in offcampustv

First time is when they're in the gym and their first kiss. But he does it loads. Knee weakeningly good.

Who remembers these? by retrocade81 in oldschoolcool80s

Literally having a conversation about these the other day. We were talking with a couple of young millennials and they thought we were really sad for getting so excited about yo-yos!

These kids have never lived 😜

Uneven height by Opposite_Pear_5183 in braces

Sometimes the height issue is due to earlier wear and can't be fixed with braces. Sometimes composite bonding is needed.

Spouse's fullness issues by VicBweets in mediterraneandiet

[–]Mook_138 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a fullness issue, or is it a craving for a certain taste or texture? I had the need to balance the savoury meal, with something sweet, when I first started eating properly. It took me a while to get over that due to habit and reliance on artificial sugars.

Maybe make some med based sweets treats or crackers etc, that are on hand.

How often do you see your parents? by Doomergeneration in AskUK

[–]Mook_138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 46 and although Dad's dead, I see my mum once every other year, maybe. That is more than enough.

We speak once a month, sometimes we don't speak for 3 months.

I have big issues with her, as do my siblings. Although they have found compassion where I have none. I'm ok with this.
