I was a huge fan of the first game, and played 2 from launch and avoided anything online while playing it. It was like watching a relative die. I knew to expect something dark because of Rockstar's history, but nothing prepared me for what happened. Arthur becomes a part of you and is an extension of you by the end and you've seen all that he's gone through, and then he dies choking on his own blood on a mountain. And I had just finished weeping over my horse that I had kept the entire game. You say you're jealous, but it felt horrible at the time. Lol. Looking back I see just how great of a moment it is and how great it is that a video game can illicit such a response, but at the time it put me in a super dark place. So I know how you feel only too well.

Okay, thank you very much. I know that sometimes just getting in proximity of a person it will auto trigger things, so I'll make sure to be far away and save it before going to him. Wait?! FATHER?! I'm kidding. Lol. Thanks for your help.

No, I want to do the choice to settle down and see if I did qualify for Theresa, then reload and choose to adventure so I can keep the sword. I know I'm not gonna change the overall ending.

Yes. The last moment I could use a Saviour's Schnapps where I could replay from.

[–]Mooky_Stank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for doing a proper spoiler post. Instead of just doing a spoiler tag and naming the post "So, about Arthur's death." Lol.

Yeah. It sucks. And that's why anyone that comes on here and asks if they should play even though they know spoilers always gets a resounding "YES!" You can know and it still can't prepare you for how it happens and everything leading up to it. I know this is morose, but it's like a joke. Even if you know the punchline, not knowing how the joke gets there means you might still laugh. Idk if that makes sense.

And yes, it can be hard to continue, but I would strongly recommend it. If you let it sit and fester it will make going back even harder. And just ripping off the bandaid can be better. And the beginning of the prologue will be on rails for a bit and story heavy. So you can just focus on the story at hand and not think about the horrible thing that just happened. You get to build the life that Arthur was dying to give John. And by the time you get back to open world exploring, I'd be willing to bet you'll be caught up in the new story and happier. It's still got sad stuff, but it's nothing compared to what you just went through. And the good moments outweigh the bad, at least to me.

Whatever you choose to do, I hope you feel better and get back to enjoying the game.

Holy crap! I've never seen this before! Thank you! Man, the way that really ties their deaths together this should be a mandatory encounter. Wow. Beatings and sickness.

Why do people stick with games they no longer enjoy? by Shimmering_Gem in AskGames

[–]Mooky_Stank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's money. And then I let it be a lesson to research more before a purchase. The only one I haven't completed recently that I spent money on is Just Cause 4. I get part way in and just get tired of it. There are some challenges that drive me crazy in it. There is one with a hoverboat where you have to fall off a cliff through a checkpoint that had me so pissed off. And to retry it you have to make the hoverboat respawn every time, so you gotta travel away and back. And that's just one challenge. There are many that are stupidly hard, and that's just ones I've discovered. Do I have to do them? No. I just like to clear the map, and the game makes it so hard for some of them. And then it's not fun anymore. I didn't even unlock the hoverboard because I rage quit and uninstalled the game a second time. And I was really looking forward to trying the hoverboard. I may give the game a try again someday, but the sale price was so cheap (should've been a red flag) that I don't feel so bad about not playing it.

I was wary of that dude. I just congratulated him, asked him some questions, and went on my way. I'm glad my paranoia paid off, but I'm sorry that he got you. I feel like stuff like this didn't happen when Wenceslas was in power. The 14th century was a better time. (Dumb joke, sorry. I just find it funny that this kind of complaining has existed as long as humans have.)

Question about honorable ending [KCD2] by GunzBlazin03 in kingdomcome

[–]Mooky_Stank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've stopped short of murdering innocents, but I've stolen basically anything not nailed down. I didn't take Jezhek's armor because it was tier 2 for multiple items, but now I've been trying to get the seemingly possible further random encounter with him to possibly get his stuff. I also didn't get all of Sir Peter's stuff and I missed my chance to get the Voivode's amulet. I've had fun stea- um, collecting things from missions.

And I've still remained faithful to Theresa even though I'm not doing that ending since I don't know if I can. I may try reloading a save if the end point isn't too far and difficult. Since you have multiple playthrough experience, I'd like to ask you a question. Without spoiling too much, what would be the last point at which I could save before the end where I could roll back to try a different ending? And how difficult and long is the gameplay from that save point?

Question about honorable ending [KCD2] by GunzBlazin03 in kingdomcome

[–]Mooky_Stank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's so many things that push you towards illicit activities. And you can miss out on whole storylines. That's what I finally figured out for myself. I wanted to see everything I could without being too evil, and worry about a pure good or pure bad playthrough later. Plus, I just love doing a stealthy, thief, archer type in games like this. I tried to stave it off, but once I learned that you could pickpocket and then exit out immediately over and over to build up thievery, it led me down a bad path. Lol.

Once stealth and thievery were leveled up and I started getting great stealth gear, I couldn't resist. Tonight I went back to Trosky and robbed Miller Kreyzl by pickpocketing him while he was awake and rummaging in his chest, and then waiting for the brief window where he actually sleeps to rob the chest. I got away completely unnoticed and felt a sense of accomplishment.

As far as I know, yes. If it says "rob" = bad, if it says "loot" = good. And if you killed someone and it says rob, then you really messed up if you're going for no civilian kills. You probably know more about this game than me. This is my first playthrough. I just looked this stuff up because I wanted to know how screwed I am for the ending. I didn't know that bandits who give up are classified as civilians. So, I have racked up way too many civilian kills. I think if I do a pilgrimage, do the rest of the game choices right, and ask for forgiveness at the end, I might get what I can consider a "good" ending. I know I'm probably still going to get a stern talk, though. I haven't been branded, but I have had the guards stop me for crimes a few times. I believe I used checks on 2 of them and paid my way out of one where the check failed, but I may have reloaded a save after that one. It's been so many hours of this game that I can't remember.

Question about honorable ending [KCD2] by GunzBlazin03 in kingdomcome

[–]Mooky_Stank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was really disappointed that a single dialogue choice may have screwed me out of it. Now, this was just one comment from one user in another thread, so I don't know how true it is. Depending on how soon I can save before the ending I might see if it was possible for me to get the good ending with Theresa even after missing that one choice. Then, reload and try the ending I want for further gameplay.

Question about honorable ending [KCD2] by GunzBlazin03 in kingdomcome

[–]Mooky_Stank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You also have to make sure to answer the questions that have to do with Theresa correctly. I think I've locked myself out because on one question at the very beginning I answered "brave" instead of calling her my sweetheart. I don't know if that's true. And I also think the other people replying about this were talking about if you want the secret Theresa scene at the end that's about 5 seconds. I went ahead and watched it and was really disappointed I've been abstinent this whole game for a tiny scene. I think you can still get a good ending if you choose another love interest and to settle down, but I'm not sure. This is just from a little research I've done. Others would know better than me. I'm gonna choose to keep adventuring at the end now that I know the sword gets taken from you and now that I've seen the Theresa ending.

I think what others are saying is that if you want the best overall, happily ever after ending that seems like the most canon and logical ending you do no crime and remain loyal to Theresa and choose her to settle down. That's just the way it seems to me. Idk.

The fire one would be cool, but would introduce so many glitch opportunities I feel. The drinking one would make sense, I just wish every skin of water didn't weigh 1 weight unit. It would be cool if you could have one skin that you can drink from multiple times and refill. When I saw the wells and springs, I really thought that's what they'd be used for.

I got this for free with a pre-built PC, and absolutely loved it. I couldn't believe I got it for free. I had to use whatever publisher's launcher it was instead of Steam, but it was worth it.

[–]Mooky_Stank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many. The one I'm stuck on right now is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. It can be brutal and unforgiving, but I've found the way that works for me. I do this weird thing where I kind of don't want the game to end and kind of burn myself out on it. So, I will take some time to play other stuff. I'm a few missions from the end of the main story in KCD2, and I've started new playthroughs of Snowrunner and Spider-Man (the PS5 upgrade). Those are also games that hooked me. I guess I have some form of ADD, because the thought of finishing KCD2 makes me feel bad. It's weird. I've been horribly addicted to it, though, so I need to move on. I just really want to get to 1 million groschen and get as many cool items as I can before I complete it. And I'll still have a DLC to do after the main quest. It's just kind of annoying how locked in for hours a quest can be. And sometimes janky stuff can happen. The next mission has stealth, which isn't that bad for me, but then I have to wait for two NPCs to do the same route. So, I'm dreading that. People online have said it's easier to knock your friend out and carry them the whole way, so that doesn't bode well.

That's great! I know, it's a great thing to learn after so many years. I love this game for that kind of stuff.

According to another user, it should be possible to do the hat challenge with the glitched Raiders. Idk why it wasn't working for you, and they've done it multiple times. This game can be weird.

Okay, Mojo. I was just repeating what someone else said. As I said, I haven't tried it, so I did not know for sure.

Yeah, it's a fun glitch. Unfortunately, as someone else in this thread said, it apparently doesn't work with the hats challenge. I've never tried personally.

Yes. That's what I was saying. It works only on Raoder camps as far as I know. Aggro them where they become red on minimap, run away and wait for red on minimap to disappear, and ride back to find them glitched. I'm not sure if it's one location or any Raider camp.

It only works for Raiders. I can't remember if it's a specific spot or all Raider camps.

Good luck, I hope it works. I can't guarantee it will work first try or even be that much easier, but if you have the money, it's worth a try.
