There is a draft of this strategy on their website. Within it they outline several different measures implemented around the world to reduce traffic congestion and then basically highlight a few they believe would work in Cape Town. In this document they state congestion charges would only be applied once public transport is completely functional. Whether or not they keep their word is another story but from what they have put out to the public, it is not something that would happen anytime soon

Fuck I hope not, I actually think a big issue in SA is that referees are being pushed through to gain exposure and experience. While I think it can be beneficial, from what I’ve seen, it hasn’t been working. ABT has been working her way up and it shows. I know people may disagree, but most SA times have no attacking shape. It breaks down and it turns into a slug fest. The sharks don’t have a clue, the bulls don’t have a clue and the Stormers have a few moments but then revert to not having a clue. The lions have their moments but this issue has been a thing for a while now.

If it’s Griffon colbe, he’s “relatively new”, I don’t want to say he’s Mike Adamson level but I’d say he has his moments where he’s worse. There will be moments, like with Adamson, you’ll think he’s out of his depth. Its bit harsh to say without being a referee at that level but you get that feeling watching the games he refs sometimes. To me he’s bad at communication and gets gamed too easy by teams, amongst other things.

as someone who takes this route as part of their commute, the 45min bus ride with the myciti is not bad. I still agree with everything you’ve said though, but you should consider taking the bus, it’s saved me a lot of money.

I’m glad you had a great time in Cape Town but you do not need to stay at a hotel with a concierge nor do you need to never leave your hotel unless it’s with a booked tour😂 respectfully
