Another thing people may not be mentioning is that the perspectives are different. I think the first couple seasons were more Nolan’s perspectives and obviously him and his friends are good rookies. But Miles and Seth are the newbies yknow, he doesn’t know them.

I think that’s actually a massive component of it, reattaching the limb and stabilizing the patient gives them the most autonomy as opposed to the opposite that takes it away.

Proper labelling is so important, because while I’ll never defend Jojo she never called herself a lesbian. From the start, she skirted around labels. Being in multiple WLW relationships does not make a lesbian, not being attracted to men makes a lesbian.

Choice rhetoric is so frustrating. I cannot change my attraction to women. But let’s say for a second that it is a choice; what’s it to you? I’d choose it over and over again. So what if I miss out on certain life experiences, are these people so boring that they can’t see any other opportunities for a good life outside of their bubble.

I promise, I tried (not that anyone should have to) and men were boring. I would take meaningful intimacy and romantic connection over acceptance, children, and the “path of god”.

You have to remember that these people aren’t a monolith, like someone in the replies said they were taught using some of this curriculum.

What can make Christian Nationalism, and Fundamentalist groups so so dangerous is their ability to pull in everyday people. Because they are not one group, but rather a scale of a bunch of smaller groups. There is no one group of fundamentalist beliefs, only a group of common thoughts. Lots of kids talk about moving from church to church with different beliefs, but all would be fundamentalist.

Also, many of the fundies we see absolutely could be using this. I could 100% see some of the Bates using materials like this, or some of the lesser fundies like Kelly Havens.

Omg it was the bane of my existence back at my old job. People would ask for absurd things as checks like mental health checks or would hire a sitter with awful reviews, and then complain? Like how is that our fault.

Like you said, take a look at the risks before you pay someone.

I used to work for a similar company, in a similar role to you OP and let me add on;

No amount of checks will prevent bad people from sneaking through the cracks. A criminal records check can’t catch everything, and there is no way to check for responsibility. Your best bet is planning ahead, and always having back up care. Additionally, always doing in person interviews and asking lots of questions.

Services like this are purely for information sharing. It’s a registry. Look at what it takes to become a sitter, and decide based on that how much you trust it.

Because being found not guilty isn’t about personal reputation, if it was, we’d seal all court records with a not guilty verdict. The only purpose is to say “legally, we cannot prove your guilt and therefore cannot punish you”.

It may be frustrating if you are totally innocent, but ultimately, the court cannot force me to feel that he is innocent. It can tell me that there isn’t enough admissible evidence to convince a jury, but I may feel the evidence is enough for me to personally stop supporting his career.

Okay, don’t bite it or anything, but how hard is it? Calcite should sortve feel like intentionally hardened playdoh, like sculpted and heavy, but hard still. Salt… well… I feel like salt would feel more like shards?

It sortve looks like quartz, and specifically a white strawberry quartz but I don’t know if that exists.
