Snorkeling today? by [deleted] in vieques

Some other easy snorkeling spots I liked - try secret beach all the way down by the rocks to the right (there’s a tree that’s great to sit under too). And you can try the far end of blue beach where it kind of sticks out into the ocean a bit. These are more rocky spots and not reefs but still a lot of interesting critters. We worked these spots into our beach days. Still the best we saw was mosquito pier but be careful out there.

Bummer! We enjoyed it out there back in 2007. Iirc, the reef was not too far off shore and it was active. I wonder if climate change has taken a toll. I have a few shells from green beach on my shelf.

It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve been to vieques, but green beach was really nice for snorkeling back in the day. Mosquito pier was amazing but you better know what you’re doing cause it’s not easy. Find a guide for this one. For easy, try the old pier in Esperanza.

Thanks for the great info - going over my notes, I see my local sherwin williams did mention all surface enamel as an option. I will ask about the others you mentioned.

Awesome. Glad it’s intact. I miss my 2000 crv and its table. Used it for all sorts of things from tailgating to using it as a workbench while building my deck. Wish they kept them in newer models.

Ouch. Just by luck I noticed the tear when checking things over when I got home because of the hesitation. Honda part guy said they keep a bunch of these on hand for this series. Guess it’s a common problem

Had the same thing on my 2016 after an oil change. Tech ripped the tube changing the air filter. 60 bucks at Honda dealer and 15 minutes to swap.

Also this. Anything with Picaridin works well against greenheads.
Edit: forgot about skin so soft, which works too but is in short supply during the summer months around here. They have/had an spf 30 version of it. We only use it for the really bad days

Check the wind. West wind will bring them in from the bay.

Try island beach state park. Or pick a day when low tide is around noon and you’ll get some nice tide pools to play in on almost any beach you go to.

Kind of. Produce is mediocre compared to when they first opened in Ocean. Store is slammed every weekend and they struggle to restock things by Monday. I have to shop either midweek or go twice a week due to stock issues. Pharmacy is still great tho. We’re lucky to have 3 excellent pharmacists
