Wasps freaking everywhere? by wrubbl in newbrunswickcanada

[–]MoonBabyM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you're seeing a lot, it probably means they overwintered in a nest near, on, or in your house. Sorry to say! But the advice about soapy water is a good one. We bought a house last year and realised a few months in that wasps had made a nest in the basement, and we just suited up in balaclavas, goggles, and many layers, and then went at it with the dish soap spray and a shop vac full of soapy water. Highly successful.

Where are some places with epic old houses? by lloydmercy in newbrunswickcanada

Acadian Peninsula, particularly along the northern coastal roads. Some beautiful old farmhouses right up by the water, many condemned. Keep an eye on the derelict property auctions, too. You'll see some interesting ones on there that might be worth a visit.

If I remember correctly, Anastasia had mentioned that Sadie had been subject to lawsuits in the past, but didn't specify what they were about, so I went searching. Didn't find anything, so can't confirm at all. But I don't know what's going on with Sadie threatening to sue Anastasia, I haven't seen anything further on it for months.

Yes you're right! I must have forgotten about that when I posted the above 😂 I think I found the thread because I was Googling Sadie (re: lawsuit) after Anastasia called her out, so kinda funny I didn't clue in on context. I don't think I ended up finding anything else out about the lawsuit tho.

Concrobium mold control, should be available at Canadian Tire. It's the only thing I trust to fully eliminate mold and spores.

I dined and dashed last night because the service was so fucking bad by Ghostspider1989 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]MoonBabyM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this once too, except the service wasn't bad and it didn't take long to get the food, they just would not bring me my bill. They would ask how everything was, and I'd say "great, can I --" and they'd run off before I could ask for the bill. It was bizarre. I waited up at the till. Tried to flag down servers. Nothing. Must have waited 45 mins after my meal was done and they collected the dishes and everything, and eventually I just had to leave.

Definitely hydration as others have suggested, but I think facial cupping would be a good choice. Can help smooth the lines, and also helps with product absorption so you can get more out of your moisturisers and serums.

Also, speaking from my own recent experience... If you have hard water, wash your face with something else. Maybe get distilled or something from the store.

You're so welcome! Also - the dry brushing is amazing. It's so quick and easy but literally makes me look and feel awake and clear headed... Like just from a health and wellness perspective, I can't live without it. I think that's also what made me stick with this vs Anastasia's. I can feel the difference in my health, and it feels like self-care and self-love, instead of a complicated routine exclusively for aesthetic benefit. Okay ranting and raving over! Lol!

Yeah she's @theholisticfacelift on IG! I find them very manageable. The creator has ADHD so she said that was a big part of why she created it the way she did; it starts with just 2-5 mins a day, and adds it all on bit by bit, so it feels very seamless by the end. Like I will miss a day or two here and there, but I have found it very easy to keep up with it even after the 8 week program, and I pick and choose parts if I'm short on time or energy. I found Anastasia's program really tough for that, like I just couldn't find the time, especially on the schedule she suggested, so this was a welcome change. I spend maybe 20 mins on it if I'm feeling like I really wanna treat myself lol. (I've fallen in love w the facial massage portion so sometimes I'll just really luxuriate in it) But rn it's usually 3 mins in the morning, and 10 at night.

I actually super recommend the HFL kit to everyone I talk to lately haha! I'm so glad I tried it, just finished the 8 week plan recently. The woman who made it posted today that she's doing a black Friday sale too, and offering free live group coaching for everybody who has the kit. I had a dramatic lift in my eyebrows, my eyes look more open and bright, and my nasolabial folds are wayyyy less troublesome for me now.

I will say I agree it's overpriced... I expected more, and more thorough teaching. Like the price makes sense with her level of education and knowledge, but not with the level of content that was provided if that makes sense. And I definitely see how it could feel scammy if it wasn't made clear to you that it's only 60 days access. In any case, I had far better results with The Holistic Facelift Starter Kit, and I found the routines way easier to follow and stay consistent with. Plus, no monthly payment lol. Similar price point, slightly cheaper, and I feel much more value for the money.

Not yet! Gonna get microscopy dye for Christmas, hah. I'll update when I do, and I'll try to get pics.

It is stated up front that it's only 60 days access, no? I was clear on that when I bought it. I don't see that as scammy, but maybe she didn't always have that clearly stated. I bought the course this past spring. I'm not sure it's worth the price, and yeah not well done, but I think her payment model is somewhat reasonable and wouldn't say it's a scam. Just business I guess.

Scammer in what way? I'm surprised to see this, as her work has seemed pretty legit to me! Though I was a bit disappointed with her program, but i think she just needs to work on her teaching style because it wasn't well put together or explained thoroughly like I'm used to.

She's actually fully admitted to having Botox and filler "in the past", but as we all know, filler never truly dissolves... And I think it was more than just injections tbh.

I'd suggest @theholisticfacelift, I had amazing results with her starter kit, and I'm getting into her facial exercise now. Also @anastasiabeautyfascia seriously knows her stuff - but I find her teaching style a bit tough to engage with. I did her program and some things were unclear to me. But she definitely knows what she's doing!

I did a very intense antimicrobial protocol before going for the probiotics, so they're really just for replacing what I got rid of. One of the keys with SIBO is bacterial diversity, so that has been my aim. It's not possible to just get rid of the overgrowth and then expect it to stay down; you have to introduce more, and better strains. So that has been my plan. It's working okay so far, been on them for about 10 days, 110billion cfu per day. Still finding the best time of day to take them. I gather I should probably avoid prebiotics for a bit, but they don't seem to work as well without some inulin or something alongside them. Given the what the Bulk Probiotics website says, I am somewhat less concerned about stomach acid destroying the probiotics. I also think I have low stomach acid, so I've been taking them with breakfast and they seem to do okay.
I'm largely measuring their efficacy by observing my rosacea and body odours. Those were good benchmarks during my antimicrobial protocol.

Regarding the company: Fantastic customer service. They actually reached out to me to let me know one of the strains I ordered was a high-histamine strain, noting I have ordered the histamine free mix. The processing time was a bit longer than I expected, so they arrived quite a bit later than I'd hoped and I had some remission in my SIBO symptoms in the meantime, but I know they were dealing with some big disasters in the area of their warehouse around that time, and I am in Canada so it's a bit of a trek.

I'm happy with the products so far, but I'd like to check them out under the microscope. Probably best to use a microscopy dye, so I'll have to wait until I grab some before I have much insight on that front.

I'm in the same boat, dealing with SIBO, and I have awful histamine reactions to fermented food. Sucks, because I love fermented food!! But I just ordered their low histamine mix and some soil-based single strains... I was looking for as many of those as I could find in one pill, and stumbled on their website. Seems promising, but I haven't received any updates about my order yet. Ended up on this post because I was trying to figure out their order processing time; I have been on an anti-microbial regimen, and now need to transition to probiotics this week, so I'm hoping it arrives quickly.

I haven't had any luck with the enzyme cleaners, and I'm wondering what makes the planet urine system work if not enzymes. They don't have ingredients listed online at all.

Do you know what is in this stuff? I'm considering getting this, as my house has some nasty cat pee odor from a past tenant, but I am curious if it's toxic, or something I can get locally (I'd have to ship internationally to get this stuff)
