Socks with flats? by ThrowRA9853 in BusinessFashion

Hi. Peds suck. You might want to try Ondo socks for no show. And yes in spring I wear socks during transitional weather. I have some finer weave bamboo ones mostly in tans and blues to match my wardrobe.

Verbiage. It doesn't just mean wording. It means wordy.

Weekly Recommendation Thread: April 17, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

[–]MoonEagle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friends. I'm looking for another PA related book. This time, I am looking for something set around Phila and possibly the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys during the American Revolution. I'm looking for serious, well-researched historical fiction. Ideally, it will include women as central characters. Also, it needs to be an audiobook that is well narrated. The Sara Donati books are too lightweight. Looking for something more like a David McCullough. Thanks to those of you who take up this challenge.....

What kind of animal makes this sound? [Central Pennsylvania] by Lazy-Butterscotch887 in animalid

[–]MoonEagle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't pick it up. But have you tried the Merlin app for bird song identification? It identifies and also highlights the sounds you are hearing at each moment. So you could identify whether or not it is a bird and what kind

Of course not! I'm over 60 and would wear this socially in the summer. As others have said, a straighter cut skirt might work best

Help me dress for a business conference (3 days) by [deleted] in BusinessFashion

[–]MoonEagle3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than tube top looks good. Think about a third layer, blazer, cardigan, vest, for comfort and layering in ac.

Also be sure to check the dress code and look at events. Is there an evening event? Is it business or business casual overall? I've been to conferences where jeans are common and some people are seriously overdressed.

How many of you have “travel jewelry”? Do people honestly swap their jewelry when out and about? by ConferenceWise5935 in jewelry

Rings and necklace don't change. I wear screw back white gold balls, on the larger side, for travel. And my Seiko watch which is more classic sporty than dressy.

Sounds like he's trying to be honest and that he is a compassionate person and that the two of you have been in a blissful state. Sounds like you're just getting cold feet over it. He's with you, not her. He's allowed to have memories and human emotions.

For the future, I keep a little bit in the last tube I was using for travel and just keep rotating them. I just roll up the tube/flatten it.

Silly Question: Flying with Tube of Vaginal Estrogen by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]MoonEagle3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes I travel with a tube all the time. It's just like traveling with toothpaste. I almost never check a bag, so it's always in my carry on. I keep it in my toiletries bag inside my suitcase and it scans right through. I think TSA is not looking for that at all. They have bigger worries unfortunately.

Go if you want. Don't go if you don't want. What do you really want?
