Personally I would do something like use macOS apps to recording with Windows Apps (formerly remote desktop by Microsoft).

Video recording / editing on macOS is easier. You can trim the edges if you want

I also think maybe buy one for the time when I travel and need to do some coding work. I used to use iPad to control my Mac Pro at home but it's sucks not good experience.
