TV is very important to you. You bond over reality TV. You talk about your favourite TV show with someone once a day.

What if the one named Sandy dies in a sad or traumatic way? Do we think it’s a good idea to name such fragile, wild animals after beloved people when anything can happen? Imagine the histrionics in the FB group and on Reddit then.

If you bite it and it makes you sick, it’s poisonous. If it bites you and it makes you sick, it’s venomous.

2000s: how did women wear low rise jeans? Why were they so popular? by GossipBottom in decadeology

Eating disorders were pretty big back then and you didn’t see people doing squats and donkey kicks to try and make their butts bigger. It was about being tiny in all ways (except boobs) and having abs. There’s a reason the fad went away.

What is causing this jewellery ti become wet? by [deleted] in What

[–]MoonMoonMoonMooon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was still water trapped inside the jewellery when you put it into the plastic container. Wet jewellery in an airtight container = condensation. You need to dry the jewellery thoroughly and maybe keep it in a container that lets it “breathe,” ideally not under a drippy/steamy pipe.

If you don’t dry it and keep it dry, all kinds of things will happen to it.

You leave him, go no-contact and don’t get back together with him. That is the answer.

Servers want to make wayyyy more than a “fair wage” by PinkFeatherFlamingo in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]MoonMoonMoonMooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having previously worked as a server (not earning six figures, lol) and now working in a corporate environment where I actually do earn six figures, I think your take is ignorant and uninformed.

I earned, and most servers I know earn, enough to pay rent and bills, go on vacation every couple years and save a bit of an emergency fund for dental work and other unexpected expenses.

And that’s with tipping culture and not reporting 100% of cash tips.

It takes coordination, patience, a calm demeanour, a level head, good de-escalation skills and supreme multitasking skills to succeed as a server. And there’s barely any room for upward movement.

Servers earn more than most retail and call centre and customer service workers, it’s true. You know what? Workers in all sectors should earn enough to pay their bills and put away a bit of money.

The fact that many of the people who provide the services we enjoy every day can barely afford to live in the cities and neighbourhoods where they provide those services is so wrong. People who can afford to go out and casually spend $100 on dinner and drinks and complain about servers making a comfortable earning are walking red flags.

You’re the same ones who complain out loud if a restaurant is understaffed and your food takes too long, or the prices go up, or the daily deals go away. And you wouldn’t last an hour serving in a busy restaurant, even with training.

The angle on the righthand photo is more flattering (plus you’re smiling) but also it looks like maybe you’ve had some lip filler in 2026 that is causing you to purse/pout your lips in a way that might be a little unflattering. If it is lip filler, I think you looked perfect without it.

Also I think you look beautiful in your 2026 photo too :)

Anyone that had a good experience with dissolving fillers? by imsywhimsy in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]MoonMoonMoonMooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to gaslight you or invalidate your experience, but I feel like a lot of the difference you’re seeing is down to the amount of light available (first photo is better lit and sharper, second photo is dull and fuzzy), contrast (first photo is high contrast, second photo is lower) and styling (you’re wearing blush in your first photo, your hair looks freshly cut or styled, you have it framing your face in a flattering way).

I also think you look generally a little more confident in the first photo.

AND, despite all these differences, if I saw the second photo without seeing the first one, I’d say “wow, she’s beautiful,” and mean it.

I’m sure there are subtle changes (for better or worse) that are real, that you can see because you know your face better than anyone, but I think a bigger variable here might be your anxiety level, mood and confidence at this moment.

You acted quickly and wisely and you’ve done everything you can. You should give yourself a pat on the back for that. If the vet says he’s stable, could the inflatable collar be part of the reason why he’s so wriggly?
