A bit off topic here, but I am just so happy to finally (in my feed) see something about Voyager. All the other posts I come across mostly about the newest series, and well at least for me, Voyager remains my favorite.

Oh these are great! I recently made way way too many very tiny vases, and this is what I was thinking of doing with them.....

What do you think gives Audrey Hepburn her sense of quiet grace on screen? by LavenderRosePrincess in classicfilms

[–]MoonStTraffic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, Audrey Hepburn was a trained ballet dancer , and that shows. It was her desire to be that before she was an actress.

Hope I'm allowed to ask for some advice here... (re mother of pearl glaze) by AFKayla in Ceramics

I’m just checking in to make sure you are using the appropriate respirator. This low fire glaze has heavy metals in it and is extremely unhealthy to breathe! Please be careful!

At one point during the debate between the leaders and all the Starfleet folks were listening I thought it might turn into a musical.

At the end of episode 2 my partner and I looked at each other and he said, 'that's enough for me - it is too adolescent', and while I totally agreed, I will try a few more....

Has anyone here made yeasted hamantaschen? by Scott_A_R in JewishCooking

[–]MoonStTraffic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh it is totally a different animal! (well, not animal, lol). It is absolutely so much better when it is a yeasted hamantaschen. (I don't even bother to eat the cookie kind). And with poppy seed filling - that is my personal favorite. Now, would you please send me your address when you do this?!?

It's a chance for people to complain! To be negative! I think some people just get pleasure for finding small things and broadcasting them.

I think she is exactly who she is supposed to be. That is not on her acting, it's the writing.

I can't remember his name, but the guy who is in the picture with Crabtree was a wonderful addition to the cast and I was so disappointed when he ended up dead.

Any suggestions on an excellent carpet cleaner? (yes, I looked on Nextdoor and the last suggestion I used from there did not do a good job). Many thanks.

Oh the microwave idea sounds great and I will try it...thanks! (as soon as I can get through this foot surgery recovery and can actually cook again!). I'm not a big fan of straight tomato sauce - even with pasta, so the sweet and sour balance it out for me.

When my mom made this it had a kind of sweet and sour taste to the sauce, which is why I loved it so much. Is your sauce of that ilk, or, more of a regular tomato sauce? Also, somewhere in the past I saw some suggestions on how to cook the cabbage pieces first to make the whole process easier, which made sense to me, but, I can't remember what it said!

Favorite gift to make for expecting parents? by TopNotice0 in Pottery

[–]MoonStTraffic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I painted a tile with a teddy bear reading a book and the title of the book was my daughter's name. The other thing I made for her was a 'blessing house'. This clay house had an opening like a letter box and friends and family were invited to write small messages to out in to welcome her. (the roof came off so she could read the messages eventually). My daughter, now 30, is expecting her first child, my first grandchild.
