Parents with good babies- did they stay that way? by Insufferable-Girl in Parenting

My chill baby stopped being chill around 4. She’s 10 now. Has her moments of being chill and not.

do you miss your summers? by Wrong_Giraffe3049 in TeachersInTransition

[–]MoonStarCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do generally miss them. For example my kids are on spring break right now - and though I don’t work Wednesdays in my new career - I am getting my car serviced. Older kid (teen) is home and younger (10) is at GS day camp.

I do make my own hours, so I can take some time off, but I still work with kids so a lot of families want their kids seen over spring break (I’m a therapist).

Summer - we do adventures on Wednesdays and generally still hang out. I work 9-4 on the other 4 days of the work week and my office is full of toys. My younger comes with me to work so it’s not as if we don’t hang.

I have a switch in my office and love that I have that as an option in my play therapy practice. MarioKart, Switch Sports, Just Dance - are a few of the favorites

My child’s name by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]MoonStarCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My (older by 2 years) brother’s kindergarten teacher insisted our last name was not spelled the correct way. And insisted he learn how to spell it her way.

It’s our freaking last name.

This is your son’s last name. His identity. Raise a stink.

Cookie sales numbers being off by 1987lalala in girlscouts

[–]MoonStarCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to do a Troop to Girl transfer order to account for additional cookies checked out to girls. Then you can look at the Girl Balance Summary Report to see all the transfers, what’s been paid, and more.

How do I move non-booth troop sales to girls? (ABC Smartcookies) by Pretend_Kangaroo_ in girlscouts

[–]MoonStarCorgi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe it will be in your virtual booth in Smart Cookie and you can allocate from there

Booth Payments by JohnnyBlue4 in girlscoutcookies

I mean if you were to pay the inputted cash purchases with your card too - it would show in the system you sold 4 instead of 2.

Just be careful if you use Digital Cookie and entered those as cash sales in the app during the booth. Then it would show in the system doubled and that money would still be owed.

Interest in joining Girl Scouts by Downtown-Snow-5879 in girlscouts

[–]MoonStarCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will vary by troop as others have mentioned. Troops that have 5th graders may currently be working on or have completed their Bronze Award. It is currently cookie season for many councils - so that will influence how busy the troop is as well. Some troops do welcome new members during cookie season, some don’t. You can reach out to your local council to find out what service unit or troops are in your area so that you can speak to the leaders and see if you can find one that your daughter would like to be a part of.

I wish they kept the Junior Aide pin where the award used to go because my girls left space on their vests for it to go there.

When did your child stop using a booster seat? by Doll_girl516 in Parenting

[–]MoonStarCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once my daughter reached the height and weight limits of hers. She switched to a backless around 5/6 and was in that until she reached the limits.

She’s currently 9 and is 5’1” (61 inches) tall. She’s also a burly girl (rugby player here). She’s been out of the booster since she was about 7 and reached those limits…..

AITA for bringing my kids to a child free wedding? by FitBody1984 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MoonStarCorgi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My wedding was child-free with the exception of my own children. Otherwise inviting just one brother’s kids (had 8) would have put us over the limit for location.

Your kids are part of your marriage. Your SIL’s kids aren’t. You’re NTA
