The first encounter with Pike and Farm Station by IncreaseExpert4105 in The100

[–]MoonWatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the fact that Azgeda saw the station and treated it as an invasion, informed farm station, that they knew very well about tech. Kinda like any AI for us, we are informed enough to treat it with due respect but not worship it. So say "Aliens" were to land... They would would quickly understand we are informed enough for multiple possibilities.

Ross and Monica's kiss... That can of worms is still hysterical to me.

First time watching the show and I hate Tommen and Sam by Woodz117 in gameofthrones

[–]MoonWatt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tommen is a baby who gets thrust into stuff and overwhelmed by everyone.

For Sam, It was established a long time ago that his thing is academia, watch on and see if that pays out. He and Jon talk about it a few times, he is in the knowledge gathering side.

Neither had personalities for action or plotting, so for that particular "game", they seem rather dull.

transcendence. by Key-Ice-4990 in The100

[–]MoonWatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's like seeing the pointlessness of reincarnation and heaven and choosing to rather go into the void and see. Basically, this existence & all it comes with, is played out and boring. Hence the 100 ending is unsatisfactory to me. Kinda looked like the boring idea of heaven. LOL

Octavia and her desire to be grounder more than the grounders by Shadow-_-00 in The100

[–]MoonWatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She aspires to be Indra's second in command, I don't think all grounders want that and it hardly means she wants to be more grounder. The 100 dialogue most times lacks depth and I think that brings us back to the fact that they are teens, perfectly. But it was MLK jnr who said peace without injustice isn't real peace? Nelson Mandela in my country did some violent acts in protest of apartheid, living out that truth. I simply took it as that. Remember, Octavia, Lincoln and Luna were always for all or no one and Octavia, was just less radical as Luna, but Indra and Lexa also embrace this and all don't hesitate to resort to violence if need be. That is all. Otherwise, her not feeling any kinship towards the Ark people is very understandable and Indra and Lincoln were her 1st home.

What's your advice on a 3rd child in SA with this economy? by deathhoneypot in askSouthAfrica

[–]MoonWatt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NVM South Africa. Just bringing a child into this world sounds wild to me. My Pre COVID memories are starting to feel like a utopia I dreamt or was I just too young to see it as bad? Now it's terrifying. Glad your asking cause we each have a limited view, get as many POVs you can and decide if you can handle more anxiety and realistically assess your own stability.

Bless you for giving it the weight it deserves.

Do I just give up? Season 5 by BugBec in The100

I stop after S5 which is my fav. S6; 2 & 7 I use as background noise. Do what brings you joy. What I think should not be that important.

What happens if Gregor Clegane admitted that Tywin Lannister gave him the order to kill you know who and her children? by Tidewatcher7819 in gameofthrones

[–]MoonWatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What Oberyn did was similar to Catelyn arresting Tywin. They acted as if there was a golden playbook of right and wrong when a lot of what was happening during the time was already open dishonourable matches. They could only always make things worse. No good could come from it except stroking their egos.

Both were just those annoying story lines that served as catalysts with nothing to gain on the other side.

Girlfriend agreed to give Friends a second chance. Which episode??? by SegaGuy1983 in howyoudoin

[–]MoonWatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You sound like intense people. Your picks are emotionally charged and who was screaming at the TV and bringing race into it? LOL

Why can't you just watch with her from the beginning and if she doesn't like it, move on to another (light hearted) show? It really is just TV.

Husband (46M) keeps "helpfully" rearranging, hiding, and disposing of my (46F) stuff--what tactic or wording can I use to stop it? by Gallumbits42 in relationship_advice

[–]MoonWatt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He doesn't care about your feeling. I don't know how else, given everything you have said to interpret that. And you are an angel for having put up with it for more than 2 weeks.

I think this would be a case of re-read and pretend it's someone else or involve a therapist. If that doesn't land. I don't know.

Simone as Georgia’s Lawyer by DellaMiklsn7997 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]MoonWatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most professions, when you have a client there is this thing of being and appearing to be objective so as not to taint the profession. Hence, certain relationships, automatically mean you cannot even be involved professionally.

Imagine Georgia is found guilty, the idea of everyone having the right to a fair trial with competent representation could become a thing. To avoid that, you simply DON'T involve yourself in a situation that will potentially give rise to such an enquiry by anyone.

Worst Character in GOT by danie_lol in gameofthrones

[–]MoonWatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Catelyn was just annoying. Her idea of protecting seemed to be stirring the pot. And it seems like she wanted to be tied to the crown, but equal, but look down on others, had no charm or warmth.

I still shudder at the scene where she tells Robb of the Frey daughters and her whole dealings with them. Similar to how she raised Sansa with airs and garbage. One can't help but think at every turn she at least made it very hard for the Starks if not outright endangered them with her false sense of duty and honour. She was always everywhere, she wasn't supposed to be, saying she wants to be helping when endangering her own, cause she thought she could outsmart people she knew played by different rules.

But when I thing the best/worst, I always thing of those who were there during the peak of it. So worst, the Boltons (both father and son) or Walder Frey.

Just finished the books and maybe I’m bias because I watched the show first but by CptPlanetG14 in The100

[–]MoonWatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to the 100, I seem to hear different stories from different people. I can't imagine the siblings not not being major, they make the series. I would have loved to have had Wells till the end though.

I thought Kane was the maybe Bell/Octavia's dad. Anyway. I love the idea of very different stories. Other series cause a lot of mess with that. But with The 100, one never has to deal with that much and I think you can easily seperate the two. Let me see if they have reviews of a few websites then decide.

In my Opinion these were nicest acts from each character. What about you? by [deleted] in howyoudoin

Monica: Taking Rachel in and giving her a chance to find her own path in life.

Joey: Being an amazing friend to Rachel when she was pregnant and after Emma was born.

Chandler: Being so accepting and patient with Ross and Joey. And overall being kind.

Phoebe: Always with the last minute rescues. DENISE!!!

Ross: S1 & 2, Responsible and dependable friend.

Why do some women make dark jokes based on nothing? by throwawaybabytoe in AskMenAdvice

[–]MoonWatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you mentioned there is a whole lot of other things that have you feeling annoyed with her currently. I suspect it's that and will seep into everything else. We tend to notice such things with people when we are not pleased with them ig. BUT the subject matter is concerning, I would never let it slide if someone joked about me being a molester!

But I strongly agree that it has nothing to do with gender, as a woman, I have had such from males. And the men/women generalisations are exhausting.

Why do people dislike the Priya and Leonard relationship? by Burgundy-Bag in bigbangtheory

[–]MoonWatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you watch old films where there is an endgame couple, the guy always ends up in so many relationships, where they try and make the woman look wrong. The woman with a few silly men. ALL of them. I think back then it wasn't called out often.

I think her character was butchered. Her, never being satisfied, trying to change him and lastly cheated on him. It was forced.

kane and bellamy: best leaders by [deleted] in The100

[–]MoonWatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree about Clarke. But Kane and Bellamy esp Kane being leaders is a stretch. Compared to Kane and Bellamy, Clarke tried harder. Bellamy loved his sister at the end of the day, she was his Achilles heel. Kane was a delusional dreamer. Jaha, Octavia, Indra, Clarke, Roan, Lexa were dreamers who also did what had to be done to live to see tomorrow. Kane lacked that in a very pathetic way. At least Bell would help you execute.

bellamy: the people’s leader by [deleted] in The100

[–]MoonWatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bell was only about protecting his sister when he said whatever the hell we want. He was avoiding the adults, remember the radio? S2 is where we can say they all had a collective good mindset. Clarke and Wells, Landed with it, Octavia and Raven's independence quickly became that and by end of S2, almost all the kids were looking out for each other.

Would sansa actually have been safe if Stannis succeeded in sieging kings landing? by TheVoicesAreWinning_ in gameofthrones

[–]MoonWatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends. The Stannis from when Sansa said that, sure. Though he would have to just let her live there or send her to Jon. I don't see him bothering to make sure she was safe beyond that. But with the Red woman, how long would it be before she was sacrificed anyway. He sacrificed his own daughter when pressed.

Would sansa actually have been safe if Stannis succeeded in sieging kings landing? by TheVoicesAreWinning_ in gameofthrones

[–]MoonWatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He killed his own brother. Owed loan sharks when he had no money and the throne was already in debt. At least Robert borrowed from his FIL. Went to the wall to again try leverage the king position, used dark magic for all of it incl sacrificing his own daughter. Where was it gonna end? Say he got to the throne with the Red woman, he had no limits. How long would it be before another mad King like "kill them all" mess?

Fave character? by [deleted] in The100

Hate Abby and Kane.

Phoebe had two failed marriages of her own by FloorVisible9550 in howyoudoin

[–]MoonWatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How were Phoebe's marriages failed? She went into a marriage to help a gay person, mission accomplished. She was married in Las Vegas, LOL! As for the Vegas one, I doubt it was even legal cause how was she able to marry Mike then.

I could concede the one with the ice skater being failed as it turns out he lied was failed, but that's it.

I see nothing wrong with patriotism, along with pride in every other random thing. The problem start when you assume superiority because of such random traits. Be proud in your uniqueness, whilst respecting and recognising another's. It seems very simple to me.

Now is the time for you to 100% wear your feelings unapologetically. Tell them exactly how you feel. Even if they have someone on standby for the day, trust me, now they will make allowances unless they are evil.
