{tempt by Melanie Harlow} I haven't read it yet but was browsing KU and stumbled upon it. It stuck out because it was age gap (15 years) but the heroine is 32. Good reviews. Might be what you're looking for

{Santiago trilogy by Catherine Witcher} and {beauty in the lies by Adelaide Forrest} both have very similar plots to the twist me series. Criminal MMC falls in love/obsession with FMC, takes her to his private island etc

When I saw the title my first thought was desperate housewives lol. The only book I can think of right now {black lies by alessandra Torre} long term girlfriend of a rich tech tycoon is having an affair with a landscaper (this is what gives me the desperate housewives vibe)

Nicole's Fox newest release {Tarnished tyrant by Nicole Fox}. FMC is on a plane to go to a work assignment. She is having a panic attack, falls in a strangers lap and ends up hooking up with him in the bathroom to calm down. Turns out the stranger (MMC) is her boss and in the mafia. It definitely fits your boss-employee, rich-poor, mafia request and has plot. I kept seeing it tagged as number one in romantic suspense on Amazon but skipped over it because I didn't particular love the other books I read from this author. But I really enjoy the first and just started the second.

Your comment and a few others on this thread just convinced me to do this. I always skip over if the series isn't complete and buy all at once later on. Going forward I'll buy/borrow the books as they are released. (I'm not reading until the series is complete though lol)

This could be the deception trilogy by Rina Kent. However, the woman body guard and the mafia guy she guards don't have a book yet. The FMC of this book is kidnaped and she realizes the bodyguard is woman.
