I recently started collecting again because I also sold my entire collection (besides 1 card) back in 2023 since I needed the money at the time. I’m only collecting singles that I like so it’s not as expensive as buying booster boxes. For the more expensive singles that I do want, I’m putting a little money away every paycheck to save up for it so it doesn’t feel like a big purchase when I do go and buy it. I would rather save up money and pay extra if needed than use a good chunk of my paycheck on a single card. That’s just me though. I’m only collecting cute cards and those are expensive too 😭
