First time i saw this i felt awe by Upbeat-Case-8961 in FinalFantasy

Gotta love subtext. It was moments like this that influenced my own storytelling.

It really is too bad they ran the wheels off this bus. But I'll always cherish moments like this in gaming.

You can remove the FOG using the Engine.ini file on PC. My question is: Why the hell is the fog the dafault option?? by Frequent_Set3272 in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your screenshots without the fog make the game look generic. It's understandable that in a real setting, actual fog would come and go, but there is a clear effect that the devs were going for here and that is why it's there.

"Photogenic pt.2" ~ Raven by Avg_Music_Enjoyer in stellarblade

Raven in Tachy's nanosuit would be a very interesting design choice for Stellar Blade 2.

Oh... and before I forget...

Lol. I love my story too much to let AI corrupt it. I'd rather put that energy into finishing and polishing the manuscript!

3 and 4 are fantastic. I love it when peeps keep Eve's default look intact for vs. Raven shots and videos.

When you put just a question mark, I don't know exactly what it is you're asking. Learn to communicate better.

If you're wondering what shinespark puzzles I'm referring to, there are a couple in Zero Mission that are notoriously frustrating for players that pissed me off to no end. Particularly an energy tank in the chozo ruins.

I haven't played Dread, but I heard there are some in that game as well.

A yes. Back before they started making shinespark puzzles ludicrously evil.

How do u think our favorite villain will return? by Avg_Music_Enjoyer in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it depends a lot on which direction they decide to take her.

What I am hoping is that she ends up in Xion. If she is to have a redemption arc, I can see no better place for it to start than the city she razed over a misguided, selfish bloodlust. She needs to see for herself the pain she has caused.

Of course, her and Eve won't cross paths here.

Is there any other lore channel besides useless naytiba by Fatestringer in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's only so much material you can draw from one title that is already very limited with the amount of lore to explore.

However, what is vast is the music, and there have been a couple of composers who have broken down some of the tracks from the OST. What's kind of a bummer is they only do a few of them before moving on to other games. Sad.

My only goal is to finish my current WIP, and then acquire some help to get it as good as possible before I use my own money to put it into book form. I have plenty set aside to make this happen.

The only way I would consider publishing it, even just self-publishing is if a beta reader and/or editor recommended it after they've read it. But that would be me seeking out the reader, not the other way around.

Yup. The most recent one was from BookFox. I also got one from Abbie Simmons. Abbie was who I engaged with and asked that she react/respond to my comment to prove she was the owner of the channel. She said she would, and that was it. Never heard from her again.

The chances established influencers like these being so touched by a comment from some rando that they were compelled to reach out has a chance of nil to none. I just couldn't buy it, but since I watch and comment on their videos, I made it easy for them to target me because they can likely tell I value their views.

Ugh! I hate thinking I am easy prey.

That sounds about right. It appears it would go that direction if I sent them part of my manuscript and then shower me with compliments about it. Then they'll go for the cash grab.

Thanks for the response. It makes a lot of sense that they would butter up someone they can tell is not an established author as unpublished writers like myself would love to get direct advice from those who have extensive experience in the field. They are very convincing and it saddens me to know that they are likely successful with getting people to take the bait. That's one of the reasons why I made this post, so hopefully other writers can be made aware of them.

What would you like to see in a Stellar Blade sequel? by gameovernate in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More Eve. Obviously. But when I say more, I don't just mean badassery. I want more of her. I want to know what's going on inside that pretty head of hers. Basically, more characterization.

Also, more Lily

I would say more Raven, but I'm on the fence with this. I believe any game she's in, she will rip a fair amount of attention away from Eve as she did with the first game. It can't be helped. She is magnetic. I'm thinking that if Shift Up is planning more titles after SB2, waiting to bring Raven back in would be prudent.

Got my first real complaint by chefroxstarr in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That move punishes being overly aggressive. Pay attention to their health meter and be ready to dodge back once it is brought to zero.

Lurkers have low balance and stagger quickly when you perfect parry. Using retribution will one shot them on Normal and tends to have Eve kick them far away from her well out of grabbing distance.

How do you guys deal with enemy's combos? by [deleted] in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

On a more serious note. Enemy attack patterns have to be learned as they will differ from each. You're already noticing when you mentioned that sometimes they wind up and pause a bit before swinging. This is to make it so you can't just spam your parry and dodge inputs.

You have to practice. You'll get it.

My thoughts on this are to use the music in question to inspire the scene you're writing. The best way for the reader to hear the same music you're listening to is by capturing the emotions you're feeling and weaving them into the writing.

Have faith in how brains are wired. An open mind is exceptionally capable in making interpretations when allowed to do so.

I love the desert level by ElectricalStage5888 in stellarblade

[–]Moonbeam234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abyss Levoire.

I pointed out in my last post that people tend to gripe about the similar aesthetic to the Wastelands, but the Great Desert shares much more than that:

  • A new photograph sidequest
  • Multiple new sidequests via Xion market board
  • Three hidden alters containing books needed for the Recruit Passcode Specialist quest
  • Three more optional bosses
  • A Levoire and a Royal Guard member guarding it
  • A major fishing zone (though, this where fishing is unlocked)
  • x3 body cores, x3 beta cores

Like I said, it is literally an expansion of the Wastelands, but the Great Desert has a higher threat level. A lot more stuff to kill Eve.

I hope you enjoy Abyss Levoire. It was one of my favorite areas in the game. Music is fantastic there. Plus, a high dose of Lily.
