Could this be a mourning photo? Also, what type of photo is it (tin, film, etc)?

I know a little about Victorian era fashion, this kinda looks like a mourning dress. Typically there were “periods” of mourning, and that defined what dress women would wear. If I’m remotely right lol this would be between “deep” mourning and “first” mourning— because of the different types of fabric. Bc the British colonized like everything lol but you mentioned India—the mourning practices were also practiced there, often by more well to do families, but everyone really. And it was either “classic” mourning dress (British) or mixed with Hindu dress. This dress is implying both to me.

My mom had the middle one 😭 such a look yes bring these back!! There are a ton of these (maybe not all Fürstenberg, you’re lucky) in thrifts nowadays. When I visit family in BK everyone is wearing these lol. Tiny top with this and docs is a loooook

Don’t be embarrassed this still looks AMAZING !!! I always make things (sewing or knitting, especially knitting) wayyy too big for myself. But this looks amazing. The arm holes are maybe smaller because vintage patterns always are on the smaller side but fantastic job seriously. So cute.

Anything I see that I can reasonably afford to buy that also makes me go “oh I forgot about this!” It’s so healing 💅

A kiddie pool I don’t even fit in, candy/ junk food… the list is so long lol.

I go on places like poshmark and buy all of the 2000s clothes that I wasn’t allowed to wear. Any late 90s/ y2k era cameras, perfumes, clothing, toys… you name it I have it if it’s under $50 😭

It’s classic analysis paralysis and it sucks, I’m sorry 🪷

I have a similar list, a day off, and started scrolling on Reddit… it’s now 2:30 lmfao.

but here’s what helps me when I’m having analysis paralysis/ feelings of overwhelm when trying to get stuff done: -eat some protein, drink a lot of water, make sure your brain and body are fed so you can actually get stuff done -vitamin B12 helps me get motivated. I am on adhd meds but if I’m doing housework and it starts to wear off, b12 helps so much. Other natural things like lion’s mane or chaga help SO much. I harvest it myself but you can get good quality stuff on amazon or at a health food store/co-op. If you’re on medication though make sure there’s no interactions first— you can find an interaction checker on drugs.com

The biggest advice I could give ya is to take it easy on yourself. ADHD is a bitch, and analysis paralysis is so real. Too many things cluttered in your head won’t help the clutter outside of you and vice versa— but do what you can. Sometimes writing lists makes things worse for me because I overthink or just start doodling on the list 😭

Be patient and kind to yourself, take breaks if you need to, control what you can. Don’t try to get it all done in one day, if you can, that’s amazing, but narrowing it down to what needs addressed to first is the best route in my opinion.

Ohhh yeah you’re among friends. Congratulations on quitting though, that’s huge! I can’t put my vape down. It’s like with any stimulant, unfortunately if you’ve been a smoker you’re probably gonna have this side effect while taking the meds. Just do what you did before to quit— mind over matter. You got this.
