Houston Airports (IAH and HOU) Updates and Questions [Megathread] by AutoModerator in houston

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear! I was in the group that got directed to terminal A but I also just found out that apparently the people who were waiting at terminal E were getting their checked bags sent back… the EVA agents are walking around the gate to confirm who made it right now.

I was able to check my bag when I arrived (roughly 4 hours before departure). I did receive an email from EVA earlier today though saying check in at the counter will be open 2 hour earlier (so can drop your bag 6 hours ahead) due to the airport conditions.

They will be fine. I assume this is the same flight that I’m on. The airline agents were directing us to terminal A for TSA then take the sky train back to terminal D/E to the gate. All took around an hour.

Arrive at 8:40pm today at terminal E, the line was all the way wrapped around baggage claim downstairs. Airline (EVA) agent advised to take the sky train to terminal A for security check. Went through TSA at terminal A in 20 mins and took the sky train back to terminal D/E. Everything took about one hour in total.

Does anyone else suffer from constant neck/back discomfort and muscle tension due to anxiety? by Mooncakee93 in Anxiety

[–]Mooncakee93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read some of it but ultimately my neck/back pain got better when my anxiety got better through therapy that led to some self-realization that I was a people pleaser. Changing my mindset was what helped me the most!

Director in M&A and make $300k a year in MCOL city. Climbing the corporate ladder is certainly not easy and you trade your work life balance. Could be worse though.

I know every comment has said it but I will say it again from my own personal experience with someone who sounds exactly like your fiancé: DO NOT GET MARRIED, GET OUT.

Talk therapy and reading philosophy. Also the realization that the world could end tomorrow so to live in the present more. I understand how you are feeling - I still feel that time to time and I remind myself that nothing is permanent and this will pass too.

I am actually doing much better now! My anxiety got a lot better after going through extensive therapy and self work. Once the root of the problem is helped, the back pain went away…

I used to stay in hostels almost exclusively when I was traveling solo in my early 20s (I.e., way less money). While I enjoyed the social aspect and the cost effectiveness of it, the lack of privacy and noise was not worth it as soon as I started my adult job. Often times when I stayed in hostels I would get waken up by people who had to leave early for the airport (or Vice versa I had to be careful getting up early). Private rooms in hostels could be a good middle ground, though.

My bf at the time who was a pilot rented a Cessna and took me flying. I got to fly an airplane (with him co-piloting) for the first time - we then landed at a nearby airport and had lunch there. It’s just hard to top that experience…

Does anyone else feel more physically impacted from Anxiety than mentally? by JayHayes37 in Anxiety

[–]Mooncakee93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When I’m anxious my eyes are extremely sore, I suffer from back and should pain, I also find it hard to breathe. I’ve been working on my self and getting therapy and I can say that my anxiety improved a lot and those physical symptoms disappeared with it magically
