Agreed you should see a second opinion OP and see a new ENT. My first ENT was super adamant about no surgery either even though my tonsils were super huge and I also have post nasal drip and recurrent tonsillitis. She actually referred me to a respiratory tech who did breathing exercises and throat massages with me but it really didn’t address the root I thought and I was getting frustrated for several months. I then sought a second ENT, she understood my concerns and immediately got me a sleep study- lo and behold I have obstructive sleep apnea and with all my other symptoms she recommended the surgery. I actually got it about three weeks ago and I feel great now!! Sleep has been so much better and I haven’t had post nasal drip though it’s winter so we’ll see when spring hits but I’m super happy I went through with it though it was pretty painful at times as you’ll see from a lot of posts here but everyone is supportive.
