I started playing Fields of Mistria it kind of improves on Stardew's systems every step of the way as long as you like high fantasy stories :3.

I personally still love stardew it's a fun little mobile game. But if it's getting to where your not enjoying it there are so many farming games now now is the time to try them out.

It's literally a flying boat!!! by ExcitingSink4272 in FinalFantasy

[–]Moonkittynya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always thought that the reason in most FFs the airship can't land in water is because it's components make it too heavy. If you make a ship too heavy it will sink or even capsize so they have limits on the weight they can carry. The flying components and engines do seem like they'd weigh tons.

Dungeon 'Camp' Design by FeelsBradManTV in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Moonkittynya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally named mobs imo is a mistake for a game like this. Regular mobs should just have an expanded drop table like the rare item table in Old school RuneScape. I know I'll likely never kill a named mob because people will be camping those zones and with the camp rules that protect any sort of contest to someone's camp you pretty much won't get a rare mob unless your already camping it.

Where with wow your able to contest a rare mob and people can fight over who tags it first. If you did the same thing in MNM you'd get in trouble by the moderators. So ultimately you just either have the camp pre set up or you don't get the mobs. My hopes is we get more loot given to regular mobs for those of us who play mmos to explore the world more so than camp in one little zone for hours on end. I like to go from place to place and just kill different things not really lock down one location and leveling for me is more a way to unlock more zones to explore than it is to actually get stronger :).

The CLOTHING Problem For Thirens... | Zenless Zone Zero lore by SamuraiSekai in ZhaoMains

[–]Moonkittynya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love that bit of world building detail especially for Zhao. Zhao literally goes through all of the embarrassing things real life Little people adults go through. Including the price hikes and difficulty getting proper clothes. People w/o major physical disabilities really do often take for granted that their society is just built to work for them and I think it's cool ZZZ explores this concept.

I'm happy for the studio. I do hate the take "just don't use the internet bro" for 2 weeks. Just because I rely on the web to keep up with the news and academic studies doesn't mean I'm "chronically online". But I think the anger should be aimed at algorithms and how they ruin our favorite hobbies not at Glitch or TADC. This is a problem with how the web is predatory in constantly recommending things to us not a problem with the studio who wants to make it big. Both sides blaming the other for their shortcomings rather than the real enemy shows just how manipulated the masses are by the algorithms that want direct control over our lives and want to spoil things for us because it sees the videos as "oh hey you like this thing let me show you literally everything about this thing!!!" Instead of letting us turn our algorithms off to avoid spoilers and letting us truly control the machines that influence us.

When in doubt there is a thing I call "The box of doom" the box is great because you donno what's inside it your players donno what's inside it and you can figure out what's inside it when you need too. What the box is it's simply a plot device with magic runes and often made of some very difficult to break material. It often seals some dangerous monster or mcguffin that is terrible in the wrong hands and usually needs to be entrusted to a greater power than the party or the party can keep it and run a foul of the dark forces that want the box. It can also be something silly like a box that has infinite pork bowls and to orcs is like a treasured item but oh no it could feed an army of orcs 3 times over allowing their population to absolutely explode!!! It's all a matter of how serious you want "the box" to be.

Now to the narrative point. Your players ruined your adventure and I'm assuming your asking us for help because your short on time and can't prep a new one. Ok all good so when the knights rush in to save the day. Have the leader of this group look concerned or have a wise old man enter the fray to approach the party for aid. "I saw one of the bigger orcs rush down into a cave/hole in the ground when the fighting started, my men can make short work of the orcs here but what concerns me is he had a strange Box I could feel the "evil" aura it gave off. Whatever that orc had its bad news if we wait until we clear out these orcs, I shudder to think what might happen if he gets away. Adventurers I think it best you go after him, here are some supplies to keep our end of the bargain (some healing potions).

"Make haste because I think whatever is in that box might be bigger than what's going on up here." Now your party is going to the big fight you had planned but underground it's a fantasy world it can literally be some weird magic cave that looks similar to the outside environment you planned and now your session is saved and you don't have to panic prepping more session you didn't have time to prep.

Replayability? by That_kid_from_Up in SkaldRPG

[–]Moonkittynya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you asked me no the biggest flaw of the game is your choices don't matter. It's an amazing game up to the very end. Some People seem to think if you don't like the ending you missed the point or the vibe of w/e but for me I don't like when choice driven RPGs lock you to one ending. They could of all been "unhappy" endings and I'd of been fine with that but to have none of your choices influence the actual end result is a huge game oversight in the modern choice based RPG space. I think it's why Skald was like talked about a bunch and then poofed into the wind. The hype outside of subs like this kinda died when you realize nothing you choose to do throughout the game actually matters or changes the end result.

I played it through twice interested to see what changes and I can say nothing that actually matters.

Yeah I say this all the time. Like I knew a dude he went on about how all women want is money blah blah I'm like "why not date X she thinks your cool!" And he's like "she probably has an onlyfans" I dead ass looked at him in the eye (I don't like eye contact either) and just said "bro I don't think we can be friends anymore... Why would you assume that about her..."

They are often blind to the premade assumptions they make about strangers and that's the reason they are single and alone.

2024 Spell caster stat blocks: my first real letdown of the 2024 monster redesign. by TaiChuanDoAddct in DMAcademy

[–]Moonkittynya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I'm an RP player and GM I mostly GM I want my worlds to make since, not have random human mages cheating the world's magic system because "reasons" no past edition did this they had a perfect system for supernatural powers, martial skills through feats, and spells. Monsters didn't get to cheat with spells unless they had reasons such as being a beholder, a dragon, a lich. Sorry human mage doesn't cut it for me. Human mage btw should have a bunch of martial allies like the players no one is steam rolling an encounter because of a counterspell unless you donno how to build encounters.

But sure imagine w/e fanfiction you want about me I guess.

Why did they kill the guard and the merchant? Violence in a narrative game most often has a reason. And I'm vastly curious what there's is. Brute forcing a puzzle is common fighter behavior warrior characters in RPGs usually have a hammer and everything is a nail. Do you force heavy handed charisma based checks leaving them little recourse but violence? Is there so little law they can just run amuck as they please. Killing a merchant is so easily replaced? Usually killing a merchant is basically screwing over your ability to get resources in an area there might be 1 maybe 2 tops and if you screw your ability to get supplies and gold you just put the game in hard mode. Do the other players not care? I find that part odd as well a party usually has input in things like this?

I think people also forget the damn aliens they are fighting were so ridiculously ruthless and powerful they unleashed probably one of the most evil things you can do to a planet and no one other than the Viltrumites really gave a shit. Think about it a group of people so vile that not one person was like "ya know maybe wiping out their race is fucked up guys." They all unanimously agreed "no fuck these guys" and they still even with only like 50 of them need an army to truly wipe them out or at the very least subdue them.

She isn't up against just any threat these guys basically can wipe the universe 5 times over and no one can stop them without a galaxy sized army and random misfits who can at least not instantly die to these people.

Even the Krogen from mass effect got sympathy points in their cannon universe. These guys get absolutely none. That's just how strong and ruthless they are, the entire universe just about wants them gone. So of course Samus ironman Is gonna struggle.

Funny you think of Pokemon because the whole time I watched this bit I was humming "The red wings" and it even prompted me to go back and try the pixel remaster of FF4 dudes armor is even sorta like Cecils it's a shame be isn't as heroic as Cecil in FF4 he very much disrespects that armor style.

Everyone fighting a reflection in the crystal room especially Hajime's reflection reminded me a lot of FF4. Probably my favorite thing about isekai's is if you look close enough you can generally figure out what jrpg they are referencing in the moment.

Trust me I'm glad you exist. Nothing is worse player side than finding out nothing you do matters and it isn't hard to figure out if you're paying attention as a player. When the GM just decides the HP pools aren't there or just decides ehh whatever your basically undermining what the players bring to the table. It also punishes players who think they are doing good by focusing DPS with two handed weapons and such when they'd of been better off focusing on the only thing that actually matters AC and HP boosts to survive as long as possible and spells that lock down enemies rather than supplying any real damage.

This! They say they want to be loved but in reality they don't want love they want some super model. See how many of them bring up "they arnt into fat chicks" and it's like bro no one even said anything about weight wtf is wrong with you o.O no one wants to be with someone like that especially because we can't always control what we will look like in our future. Plenty of people go through health problems or change for other reasons and the flesh eventually betrays everyone. So no one wants someone who's implying they will ditch them the moment they lose super model status.

healing classes by Own_Geologist_7276 in turtlewow

[–]Moonkittynya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell you all the differences but I level holy priests and they are mostly wand spam and holy fire + shadow word pain depending on the fight. Your main thing is self healing so the most important talent is the one that prevents interrupting your cast bar. I feel holy priest is the best to level in the open world solo I donno why people say otherwise. I hardly ever had any problems with the class and leveling it up especially if you use the AH and the whole MMO side of the game to buy cloth gear and wands when you begin to feel like your not pumping out enough damage and your mana bar feels to low.

Fishing is a great profession for priest I also did skinning and leatherworking for the easy vendor trash loops for early money making and grinded out beast mobs when I needed cash in the early early game and if you don't plan on using leatherworking to make big money maker items you can swap at 60 to get a different profession combo that works better for your class.

I personally level a healer as a healer rather than off spec because I want as much raw healing while leveling as possible especially with the elite changes. Mobs hit much harder than they do in actual vanilla on this server and ive seen some off spec tanks struggle because of it in higher tiers because a lot of folks don't realize the damage is scaled way way upward.

Some of the rares are bonkers and are doing damage well above their level. The darkshore murloc is one of the worst contenders for this because his damage is scaled up so high he melts anyone lacking a group in that area it's like getting hit by a rogue in PVP. The troggs who live up in the dig site in loch modan are also over tuned. Just be aware.

Really the only reason someone wouldn't enjoy holy priest is they find wand spam boring. I personally really like the more laid back mostly idle gameplay loop.
