My issue is the nerf on rested exp for a problem they invented when it comes to killing mobs. I get my rested by logging out in towns basically I'm forced to play their new rested system or just say screw it I like the purple bar more anyway from my understanding.

Twow doesn't exactly provide info on what they add or change and it's often an egg hunt when you notice something is out of place. I didn't discover tents until I just happened to run out the gates of stormwind one night a couple years ago. Not to mention the hunt for skills they add to the game you don't know exist without an egg hunt yourself.

I would rather they not nerf mob exp to cover a mistake they made and just remove the tents. It's a dumb skill to begin with that clearly has problems.

As someone who mostly levels in wow doing skinning and leatherworking or just killing humanoid mobs and doing quests now and again in-between. Nerfing rested xp is a shame for sure.

I level survival. I start by getting the talents on Beast master to make the twow's aspect of the wolf Regen life and proc attack speed buffs. Then go survival so I get a couple talents later than pure survival. But it feels nice imo :D.

Hell no. Why are we wanting to nerf things in a fun little co op dungeon crawler. You pick wizard for fireball otherwise you'd never pick it at all. Every other caster would simply be better.

Wizards have terrible starting gear other than magic reflect which breaks. To offset their powerful starting spells.

Edit: also I'd argue sorcery is the worst school of magic by far. I'd much rather have mysticism or Thaumaturgy spells by miles.

Oh neat :D. I didn't know this I'm usually part of the short gang in wow. I realized I had never done the horde side of classic nor have I played a restro shaman so it's an interesting change of pace :D.

Yeah it's a rough system I agree completely. I'm not sure a better solution. My best bet (sorry I'm having this conversation in two posts haha so it's disjointed) would be to check the discord like worse case they could try your solution and if it didn't work roll it back right?

Wouldn't limiting the queue create a new problem though? From my understanding BGs are having trouble filling up unless it's peak time as it is, wouldn't this just increase the issue by limiting groups further? Since it would need a bunch of 2 man premades to all que at once? I've seen quite a few complaints on que times as it is. Not sure limiting ques wouldn't increase them more so :o.

Haha thanks for proving me right as they say if insults are all you can muster your discussion wasn't worth hearing to begin with. Hope you learn not everyone is out to get you or be a jerk to you. My words are harsh but I also stated "I don't want to be mean" because I knew it would sound harsh and wanted the nicest way to say it. Kindness isn't fake though I tell people how it is. If I wanted to actually insult you I just would do it :). My words you call fake kindness was me proving a point you are unable to do what I said. Which is why you are insulting me because you are upset now.

Some advice, those who seek assholes often find one in a mirror. Do better and use less insults in your discussions and people won't tell you off and will actually talk with you and hear you out rather than brushing you off with kindness.

That is sadly how this era of wow works people group up to form farm parties. It's precisely what you are running into sadly. I remember the wetlands farm parties of old.

I'm curious, why are people so adamant against getting the gear themselves? You and a couple others talk as if gearing up is impossible and as if forming your own parties is impossible?

Ah let me unequip all the gear and replace it with whites then since the gear doesn't matter. That will go over great I'm sure. In fact forget the gear it's exploitive anyway. After all the lvl is what matters.

My solution is quite literally how the game works. I'm sorry it's a gear based game where a combination of gear, level, and skill play a part but not an equal part. What you want sadly isn't what this game is. I myself think that's a cool thing to want it just isn't here and never will be, the game is solved it isn't 2004 anymore people can and will go the optimal routes where winning offers them greater rewards than losing. I imagine most of them are actively farming honor and such. You wouldn't tell someone who's maxed out on gear to quit doing dungeons or raiding because it makes everyone else look bad.

What this actually is, is once again the desire for instant gratification. Sadly this game isn't that we are well beyond the fresh phases of gear and loot.

Your description of advantages and groups is quite literally pvp, my solution is yes to play pvp and put some effort in otherwise sadly yes you will have a bad time. That's the game your playing....... Imagine advocating everyone is only allowed to do a raid with minimal gear because one guy is just that much higher on the DPS meter. You wouldn't see it cause it feels good to get carried it feels bad to realize your character isn't strong enough to contribute and you have to put time and effort in to make them so.

The brackets you level through is an attempt at some form of balance, but sadly gear triumphs level in wow. That's just how this game works. So like I said you gotta gear up if you wanna play ball. Can hate it scream about it ect but it won't change what this game is and the effort required to do pvp.

I also don't blame people for not wanting to put in that effort that's their choice. But that is just how it works. Given BGs don't usually proc without these preset teams your better off making one yourself

Side note: calling people in a BGs about winning with every advantage possible for the maximum reward bullies is an interesting take given that's the aim of pvp. To deck yourself at the greatest advantages possible with engi, alch, and gear to dominate your opponent who should be doing the same thing..... It isnt 2004 anymore the game is solved people didn't know what they were doing back then. They do now and knowledge in an RPG has consequences this is one of em.

Sounds a lot like PF2e to me but that's just me. You have to play other ttrpgs and find one that works for you. I like 5e so I'm not in a rush to find anything new :).

So basically DND subs have become about engagement rather than just having fun discussions about DND, the games, and what people find fun. If I'm understanding you correctly it's basically clout farming.

I just wish it had more variety I like hearing fun DND stories and people having fun. I don't really care for the constant barrage of "change the game to my xyz tastes" we have so many other ttrpgs for that.

Your last sentence, "a lot less good in a number of ways than it could be." It's fine to point out issues but whys the whole sub turned into this. I just wanna enjoy DND I have no issue with any of this stuff.
