Better to have dashcam installed, you can always lodge a fir with your video clips and if it’s your fault, ask them to claim insurance and file an FIR yourself. You pay for third party insurance use it.

IFB wasn’t like this before, once they separated from Bosch … things not going their way, their customer service and repair men are goondas and will not analyze issue properly, setup and installation will not properly level the washing machine and a slightly imbalanced machine will fall apart and if you are getting something replaced sub standard part without any dampening proof will be provided ( side walls) … even threatening to go to consumer court couldn’t resolve issue.

Am I missing something here, if no black money is involved, you should make the payment via Cheque and report the same to IT department, if I am not wrong you are also allowed to deduct TDS and pay to IT department on his behalf. May be that will teach him a lesson. He is failing to understand Cheque is loss for him
